Yep, I have only lost one lb since April. I don't know what the problem is. I did have a cortisone shot in April, but I don't think that is the problem. I just can't seem to get back on track. I have even thought I need to join WW. I need someone to answer to every week. Got any ideas?:biggrin:

Amen, sister! Move! Move! Move! or your ticker won't move. As you can see I have only walked once in two weeks due to a cold I had and this 100+ weather. It rained today and cooled off a little. NO EXCUSES FOR ME!

Google "Five Day Pouch Test" ....you can print it out. I think it is one or two days of protein shakes then soft protein then hard protein. It helps you to get back to basics and restart your weight loss.

Congrats on you Bandiversary! I am glad you are doing better. Today starts a whole new year. I hope you do better this year!

Good for you! Every day is a new day to get back on the bandwagon. I think seeing the doctor is a good idea. You have lost alot of weight......own it....be proud!

Lori, CONGRATULATIONS! What an awesome accomplishment. I got a fill today......... a .3cc We will see, It may be all I need to get the ball rolling again. Also, my cold is finally gone so I can start walking in the 100 degree weather. Yea! All of you getting rain...........send some our way! Heck I think I would take a tropical depression right now.

Where did you get the cookbook? I just love new recipes. I just got a .3cc fill..........I hope it curbs my appetite.

I think we have all done awesome in one year. Yeah, I think 5lbs a month is a good goal. That is what I was doing until March and now it is up three down three. I admit I am eating more.

Yeah, Janet, Lupus is a mostly girl issue, but his mother had Lupus and Leukemia. So, he is just checking for that.....and rheumatoid arthritis. I still feel like it is just an anitbody issue and can be fixed. Girl, I get a fill on Monday and I hope they will give me back the .5cc they took out in April. I don't have any restriction. I don't want to start gaining weight. Y'all have a great weekend!

Janet........checking in. DH went to the blood doctor today. The doctor said it may be a genetic thing. He is testing him for lupus too, but doubts that is the problem. He feels sure he can give him medication before the surgery that will prevent him from clotting or bleeding too much. We should find out something next week and then he can schedule another surgery date.

Kimaly, that is true. I have a very sensitive digestive system due to all the adhesions and colon surgeries. Looking back, had i known it took so long to reach a "sweet spot" I may have opted for a sleeve. I just didn't want to pay for it. Oh well, I will just work with this band. I have lost almost 50% of my excess weight so I guess I am normal for the first year. I am pleased.

Me too! Confused I mean. I never heard of putting 3cc at one fill. I think you better change fill clinics. The most I ever had put in was .5cc and some of that had to be taken out. Joiful, what is your total weight loss since banding?

Apples, a belated Happy Bandiversary! I wish I lived up there so we could hang out. I think I would love hanging out with all my LBT Buddies. Have a great long weekend at the lake. It is too hot to get out down here. It has been 100 everyday with no let up in site. Long, I have wanted to go shopping at Goodwill. We have a new one nearby. I will give it a try. First, I need to shed a few more lbs. By the way, Congrats! on your new goal weight.

Kimaly, I have 5.2cc right now. I had and unfill in April and go next Monday for a fill. Boy, do I need one. I can eat just about anything. I haven't gained, but I am close to going off track. Joiful, I hope you find a sweet spot. Sounds like you are getting some sound advice from the other butterflies. I had to get an unfill because I had pb'd so much the tissue was swollen around the band. Just remember to eat slow and eat small bites. Chew! chew! chew!
