Janet, I don't go back to the nutritionist till the 24th. I did get a report on my bloodwork. I have low D and low B1. So, I bought some supplements. I spent afternoon PBing........really throwing up. I did not eat Breakfast then when I took a couple of bites of chicken for lunch I got stuck. Then you know the rest. This afternoon I decided to try some yogurt.......no go......pb. So, I started drinking hot tea and this evening I did eat some cream of wheat. I have had this creepy sensation in my neck for a couple of weeks. It comes and goes. It feels like a collar around my neck. Do you think it is the band causing it? I guess I will find out on the 24th. The last time I had that sensation was when I had a lymphocele in my abdomen. I hope there is nothing weird growing. Maybe I need to get some tests done just for peace of mind. Okay, enough of that talk. Later!

You can buy those sf syrups by Torani online. My husband likes lattes so much we bought a machine. So, we drink sf lattes with lactaid fat free milk.

1 day.......me too! after 10 days of logging my food I have lost 1lb. I guess I would have been gaining had I not logged and exercised. I sure would like to lose 10-15lb by December. We go to Hawaii in December for our fortieth aniversary. I am determined to get this ticker moving!
-
Laura, go with a small fill. I had the PA put a .4cc in me in July only to go back the next week and have Dr. Davis take out .3cc. I was miserable. I slimed when I drank Water. I did lose 3lbs in a week. Everybody's system is different. I am logging my food now, and losing very slowly, but at least I am not pbing. My DH had gastric bypass in July. He is losing without much effort. He does walk everday. I think he has lost 25lbs. My friend had bypass when I got my band. She lost 120lbs .....did not exercise. Her appetite has returned and she can eat more than me. She may be a size 8 now, but at the rate she is eating she will start putting it back on. Your right.......it is a lifestyle change. That is the hardest part about weight loss surgery. Okay, sorry to get off track. I hope you get some restriction.
-
Yes, Phyl.......it was me that sent the card.........so glad you are better. My DH had both knees done within three months of each other and he did so good. Now with the weight loss surgery he is even doing better. He is limited on the kind of exercise he can do, but he does get out and walk everyday. The flatbread does look like a deflated hamburger bun, but it is so good. I just toasted one and ate a turkey sandwich......150cal. Oh, it has 5g of protein, 1g of carbs, and 100cal. Great, like I said, I can't eat bread, but I can eat these sandwich thins. Yea! Phyl, using them for hamburgers is a great idea.

Just checking in..........wishing all of my LBT Buddies a great Labor Day Weekend! Great........awesome that your DD is a wedding planner. Sorry about the battery. Mine went out last month too. Found a new food. Orowheat Sandwich Thins.........a flatbread....100cal, 5protein. It makes a great sandwich, and I haven't been able to eat bread. I bought it at Sam's Club.
-
Here is another thing I found. Orowheat has a new flatbread called Sandwich Thins. It is also split for easy use.......100calories.........5protein. Try it. Now, I found it at Sam's. I hope every butterfly has a great Labor Day Weekend!

FYI.........I don't know if Kroger is just local to Texas, but they have a low carb yogurt(Carbmaster) that is yum........12g of protein, 1.5 fat, 80calories. I am going back to counting protein too. I need 60 protein a day. This yogurt is one of my snacks.

How much have you lost July Butterfllies??
Charlene K replied to lotzasunshine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That is the plan, but I think she knows I can't stay that low everyday. I still don't have the right restriction. I need maybe a .1 and i will be right. Anyway, I go on the 24th and blow into this machine that will measure my metabolism. It will tell how many calories I should be eating. It also tells alot of other stuff. I am kinda looking forward to doing it. -

I am having a heck of a time keeping my calories to 1000. So far, the lowest is 1021. I haven't lost weight either. Hey, where is everybody? Are we done? -
Rose and Meredith..........awesome pics.........Both of you look great! Rose, I am so sorry your mothers' are going through cancer. I am sure you are giving them the very best of care. I nursed my MIL and FIL with cancer at the same time. It is the Amazing Grace of God that will see you through. HUGS and Prayers for you today! Check in when you can. We are here for you.

Thanks Laura for the info. She kept telling me to fast before coming in. This journaling has somewhat put me back on track. The 1000calories a day is tough. I have gone over everyday by 200. I guess I was really eating way to many calories.
-
No, she didn't talk to me about it. In fact, she gave my a pamphlet on it and I haven't read it. I just know it is 125 bucks. I will give y'all the scoop after I do this. I have a low thyroid so I am anxious to get the read out.

Janet, I am journaling.....well, except for yesterday. The ticker hasn't moved, but I am not discouraged. I have a neat journal that the nutritionist gave me. It has a place for water, exercise, and protein.....then another page for just writing down thoughts. I'll will have a good report when I go on the 24th. That day, I will blow in the machine that tells reads my metabolism.

Whew!!!!!!!!!! Apples, I am tired reading your post. I think I need a nap after all that cooking. I'll take one for you. lol. ..........and yes, I am drooling!

Melody.............Wow! Awesome weight loss.........care to share any tips? How many calories did you eat a day? I just went to the nutritionist today. I start on a 1000cal tomorrow. Next month I go to breathe in a machine to measure my metabolism and found out how many calories I need to be eating. I am kind of excited having a personal nutritionist. -
I just got back from the doctor. The PA took out another.1cc. Then I saw the nutritionist. I am on a 1,000 cal a day. At the next appt I am going to blow in this machine that measures my metabolism. It tells how many calories I should be eating. It costs $125, but think it will be beneficial to my weight loss. I like this better than WW because I need the personal help.

Orea............I am so glad you are back posting. I have missed ya. Oh, by the way, I watered your flowers on Farmtown a couple of days ago. Whew! you have a bunch, but I love your farm!

Yes, it is easier because we are only going out once a week to eat. I still have a slider problem. I am going to the nutrionist tomorrow. I have to have a warden over me. Someone I can talk face to face. We will see if this works. I am amazed at the different foods DH can eat. He eats bread........I can only eat crackers or toasted bread. If he eats too much he gets lightheaded......weird. I don't know about FL. I have to get past our Hawaii trip in December. Dow Chemical furlowed him last Christmas. We will see how it goes this winter. My church went to Destin, FL this year and the pics were awesome. Looks like a fun trip.
-
Hi Apples! Good to hear from ya! Great.........DH is doing good. We are going to Dr. Davis together. He has a 6 week check-up and mine is a one year.
-
Belly weight. As I lose..........my belly goes down, down, down........I will need a wheelbarrow soon. lol! I have had three laparatomies so I don't have much abdominal muscle. Probably why my back is so bad. I know I will have to get it tucked when I lose to my goal.
-
Kimaly.......mine is my stomach . With all those surgeries and weight loss it is like a basketball ready to drop...........yuk. I even have to buy bigger pants because they won't fit over it. Anyone know a sure fire exercise to reduce the lower abdomen? Oh, I have a bad back too so it can't be to strenuous.
-
Lori, that sounds like an awesome trip. I just can't imagine my five kids and 9 grands getting along for 4 days. That would be a miracle. Yeah, Dr. Davis hopes they want to do a 3rd series of shows. I love to watch the success stories. I see him on thursday for my year check-up. I am bad about taking vitamins. I hope my blood work is good. Your weight loss is awesome. CONGRATS!

FYI.......Janet, Lori, and band buds of "Big Medicine"........I just got an email from the Davis Clinic, and there will be a one hour special of Big Medicine in mid November on TLC. It will feature follow up of some of their patients that were on previous episodes.

Cheri...........you look great! Susan, I hope you are feeling better. GB surgery is not too bad, but take it slow on the eating. Of course, you have the band to remind you.
