I am glad you got some out. If you have too much fill you will start eating sliders. Sounds like we are on the same amount of calories and exercise. I think I will be doing 800 calories with the shakes.....gonna start tomorrow. I had a rough weekend. The weather changed on saturday and I spent a day of IBS and then yesterday it was my back. Today, it is cool and sunny......so I am doing much better. I haven't got results from the ct scan on my stomach. I am sure it was a flare up of adhesions coupled with the Fibromyalgia. I will check in tomorrow after my first weight loss session with the doctor.

Charlene - Hope it warms up soon for you.. Hugs on the ibs and dear - once you get your head wrapped around this thing (healthy eating) you will do fine - too bad I dont live closer or I could come to your house and throw away all the crap in your house lol - I bet you would just love me coming and cleaning out your pantry - and so would your dh - he would say who does she think she is :0) LOL, I would love it!....but you might be surprised to only find saltines and rice cakes for snacks. I need you for the exercise. That is my shortcoming. Today i didn't go to church because I have been up since 3am with my back. Now I have to get ready for a baby shower. You poor baby. My DIL and DS suffer with them. It has got to be the worst pain. Please take care of yourself Well, the cold front blew in and so did my IBS. Thank goodness, I didn't have to go anywhere today. I must say though.....no aching with this weather change. It went from 70 to the 30's......and damp. Nothing new to report on my weight. It has stayed the same since January. I am hoping things will change in a week. Julie, I hope you get some pain relief soon.....and congrats on the loss! JB....forget the prince......go for the King! Good for you. Don't you remember me telling you about my best friend that lost 120lbs and transfered her food addiction to "second life". We used to talk everyday, shop together, eat together.....we shared good and bad times. Now, she is only nice to me when I can haul her across town to the doctor. I do think she thinks she is a good friend......NOT! I care about what happens to her and I will be there for her, but I am no longer her option and she sure ain't my priority. I have too many other family and friends that care about me. I never would have thought she would have become addicted to gaming online. I am glad you took that step. You don't need that negativity for you new journey. She is on a path of destruction and so is my friend. Well, tuesday is the day. I start the new plan. Don't remember if I mentioned but a week or so after the wedding poor DH has to go to Honolulu for work. Well he sure ain't going alone! Free hotel room? Yep I am tagging along, will be nice to just destress after the wedding and before moving. I've asked a friend from here to go along, her husband works for a different airline but she flies free as well so we may just have a girls trip and take over DH's room! LOL I've not been to Hawaii in over 5 yrs (used to go much more frequent) and definitely not since losing weight. New body and new knees, look out Waikiki! Wow!!!! Sounds like a good time. I just loved our trip, and so many buses to take you anywhere you want to go. We almost rented a car and glad we didn't. It was 25 bucks a day for parking. I guess DH gets his paid for since it is business. Where are you staying?

Girl, I just saw one in the show room today and sat in it......Awesome!!! I didn't get it though. I need a smaller vehicle.

Phyl, I am so glad your friend is doing so good. Yes, being hungry is a very good sign everything is working. Sounds like you need to baby your back. Mine is hurting after taking care of my eighteen month old GD. Of course, we are getting a new cold front in tomorrow .......my body told me so. Apples, that is awesome that you had a good meeting. I didn't mean to spout off that there are a lot of mean people in support groups, but you do get that one that is miserable. And that one is usually miserable wherever they go. Julie, how are you???? Yep, I agree......jealous, insecure, and some people are just MEAN. I don't have that problem with the few supports I went to......all of them were gastric bypass and they had lost way more than me. I will start my new class next Tuesday. I am ready. YIKES! snow......it is in the 70's here.....so should I expect more cold coming? How are the wedding plans going? When are your parents coming in? Peas, I'm with you on coming home to a clean house. It's like food tasting so much better if your not the cook. Not to mention I am a smell freak. I love to come home and smell Lavender. Julie I did see that you are in pain again. Do you take muscle relaxers? They help me more than pain medicine. I know about that therapy.......my back has been hurting since PT last week. Happy ST Patrick's Day to all! Well, I fell off the wagon. We have a dinner tonight at bible study. I bought a new potato dish and a fruit salad so I wouldn't have to cook. Then I did a bad thing. I made lemon bars.......and ate a few of them! Yep.....a few......made myself sick. Okay, got that confession over with......it is the Catholic in me. I took my friend to the plastic surgeon. YIKES! It is expensive....9,500 for tummy tuck, 5,100 for boobs, I forgot what the lipo and arms cost. I just know it was 26,000. They said that insurance will pay for the tummy tuck and boobs (rashes). We have the same insurance so I know what I can expect when and if I do the PS........and I DO have rashes. She has lost so much her tummy and boobs hang way down. She still hasn't received results from the cancer test......all the ps depends on the other results. I think she is pretending the other isn't happening. Okay peeps, Have a great evening!!! Julie, I am so sorry you are in pain again. Phyl, I prayed for your friends. I saw it on face book. It is not good when older folks have surgery....recovery is so hard. Abdominal surgery is hard at any age. Keep us posted. Apples, someone said your son's place flooded??? Sorry to hear that. That has happened to us. Cleanup is a b____!!! Thanks for all the concerns. I am thinking positive about this issue. I finally got all that contrast out of me....I think. I am going to take my friend to the doctor. I hope she hears something about her BRAC test and CA125. Janet, the dr's office will call in a couple of days. The guy doing the scan told me they get the results within 24hrs, but it is up to the dr when they call. I really think I will be okay. A couple of years ago it was adhesions. I think you are right about the shakes. I think they will be healing for my system.

Checking in.......yes, my lower left side was hurting and I had a ct scan today on my lower abdomen. Now, I have a history of colon problems. I do think it is adhesions, but better safe than sorry. Get it checked out. Speaking of the scan......whew, I hate, hate, hate, drinking contrast.....I think I drank two pints and then they were running late so I had to wait an hour. On the other hand, a good thing, I had to go, go, go. Did I mention I HATE drinking contrast.

Just checking in......I haven't read the posts. I went to the GP today. I am having a ct scan tomorrow on my gut. I think it is just adhesions, but gonna get one just to rule out diverticulitis. Yum! I get to drink two big bottles of orange contrast in the morning. Contrast runs through me big time. Thank goodness this imaging place is five minutes away. Sorry, TMI.

Kimaly, I am so sorry you lost your rings.......get a metal detector and try to find them. My friend does that for a hobby and has found a lot of priceless treasures for people. Okay, Melissa, I will keep you posted. Meanwhile, I am doing a shake a day......I may start doing two a day. Weaning off of food to shakes might be better for me.

Janet.........I really like your new profile pic........so cute!!!! I am really feeling alot better this afternoon. I do not take vicodin for that reason. I did get off of Miralax and on to Benefiber. I think I will take both. I had to cook chicken pot pie for my friend's DH. My friend just got home from having gastric bypass. She is diabetic and so excited about getting off meds. Wow, it is 80 today. I love it. If I ever complain about the warm weather again you all have permission to chew my A$$ out. Okay, gang.......gotta go cook something for DH.

Arlene, I'm starting to think you and I don't have much luck in the health department..... Sorry about your colon problems.... Hope you are better soon.... Julie, I do feel better this morning. Diverticulitis is a inherited disease in my family. My aunt died of it. Of Course, my WL Dr. thinks it is diet. True, but if you are genetically prediposed to the diesease eating wrong foods could kick it in. How do you know you have it until......you get it. DUH! I will go get some antibiotics tomorrow. I think drinking shakes and resting my gut may be a good thing. Well, I did it again. I got up at 6am....took a shower and got ready for church because I thought it was really 7am. Wrong, my clock automatically changed. So, now it is 6:20 and church is at 9. This is my second year to do that. I hope y'all all have a great day!

yes, shakes and vitamins.......and lots of water and fluids. I think he said I will get to ketosis so the weight should come off fast. I guess it will go week by week. I just know I am on the fast track which is all shakes. The slower one is two shakes and two meals. I will give you the info when I start. I know this is going to be hard at first.

Well, HE!!, My colon is hurting. I guess the Dr. was right. I just hope it is not diverticulitis. I will go to the GP on Monday. Janet, yes, I went to nutrition classes for four months. I was just saying that maybe I should have done the liquid diet before I got the band. I only did the pre-op shakes. Julie, the weather is awesome here. High 70's. Apples, have fun! Yep, it is going to be tough. He is offering appetite suppressants if I need help, but I do not want to take them. I think they are bad to take with this fibro med I take. He said if I can get past a few days I won't be hungry. This time, unlike before surgery, I do have restriction. So I start the 23rd. I will be going every tuesday for two hours. I will see the doctor once a month, and the Pa and dietician every week. Yesterday when the doctor pressed on my stomach and I almost came off the table. He thinks I need a ct scan to check for diverticulitis. YUK! I hate drinking that contrast. I will call on Monday and see about checking it out before I get worse. The shakes ought to help that too.

Peas......congrats on the weight loss! Jodi.....glad you made it home and are resting. Keep up your walking. It really helps the healing. Okay, I went to see Dr. Davis. I will start on the 23rd. It will be every Tues. for 2 hrs. I will be going through the Beck book and nutrition. I didn't say anything to him, but is feel like I am doing this assbackwards. I should have done this before the band. OH, well, so be it. He examined me and when he pressed on my colon I almost came off the table. He wonders if I have diverticulitis. i don't have any symptoms, but he suggested a ct scan. Boo! I hate drinking that crap! I didn't hurt until he pressed on my abdomen. Anyway, you know what I know. I will be seeing him once a month too. I don't know what is going on , but I have another good friend that was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. She was on the eliptical and her jaws started hurting. She went to a cardiologist and did a stress test. She is scheduled for a heart cath on tuesday and they will put in stints if needed. Wow! So, if you get weird pain up your jaws or serious indigestion......don't ignore it. Apples, I hope you are better today......HUGS! Janet, did your headache go away? Mishay.....welcome! You know my friend that dissed me.....the one that had bypass and lost 120........she has a mass in her pelvis. I am sure I will be taking her to a specialist because she does not drive in Houston. I really feel sorry for her. She is so scared. They did a BRAC analysis and a CA-125. No results yet. I am gonna ask Dr. Davis today if he would direct her to the right specialist. I meant he is working at Plaquemine. He will probably stay in Baton Rouge. I would go if it wasn't for a week. Sounds like the kid needs to be evaualted by a psychiatrist. Somebody from Child Protective Services needs to investigate. Maybe the kid will get the help he needs. I am sorry you are having to go through such stress. I hope the do something soon. Well, if I decide to go with DH I will get your number and we can meet up. It will be in April.
