I am so glad you are getting some good weather. It is going to be 76 today. It was beautiful yesterday, but for some reason I was battling IBS. I am fine today and heading for church. I guess i cheated because I weighed this morning and I have dropped 8lbs since Wednesday. I know most of it is probably fluid, but it gave me the boost I needed to keep going. I will post it on my ticker when I weigh in on Wednesday. One thing I discovered, because of the band......if I eat about 3oz of chicken in the evening I am full all night long. I can replace one shake and will do so with chicken this evening.

Kimaly, I like the Vanilla Pro Joe, but not the Mocha. I did not know Adkins made one. I do put it in my coffee because I just like a coffee taste. If I find out any good tips I will share. One thing I do know......there is no Majic Pill for weightloss. Dang it!!!!

Glad you are back! So sorry you have gone through trials that have impaired your health. Yep, we are here for you. I have been on a liquid protein diet since Tuesday. It has been tough. I replace my shake a few times, and boy am I tight. Anyway, I am dropping weight. I can tell by my clothes. I weigh on Wednesday. I will be checking in.

Girl, I won't lie........it's tough. I am not weighing till next Wednesday, but I am sure I am down a few. I am definitely a food addict. Through this I am learning alot about myself. I do have some restriction.....so that helps. I can have a cup of lettuce and 4oz of chicken once in awhile. Yesterday I was out shopping and I ate about a half a cup of lettuce and a few bites of chicken and I was full. So, if you want to tighten up just go on shakes for a couple of days.

Well, I went out shopping and got weak, so, I ordered a small side salad with grilled chicken. I can have that once in awhile. OMG, I could only eat about half a cup of salad and a few bites of chicken. So, if you want to tighten up your band go on shakes for two days. I will only do that when I am out and can't drink a shake. I just can hardly believe how tight I am.

Thanks for a the cheers. Yesterday I had 2coffee w/ half bottle of Projoe in ea. (vanilla) 3 protein shakes -1/2c cup of cherry carbmaster yogurt w/chocolate protein powder Then I caved before I went to bed I had 1 low fat mozarella stick 70 of water Not bad for the first full day 20min of bike

I had asked for a revision to a sleeve and he said he wanted me to do the liquid protein and give the band a rest(meaning fills won't fix my problem). So, I am doing it. I am not hungry, but I am anxious. I guess I am getting in touch with what really sets off my bad eating habits. Hopefully, through this I will form better habits.

Welcome Back Butterfly! We need all the support we can get. I started a medically supervised liquid diet today. 4-protein shakes-800cals no more than 50 carbs a day lots of water.....divide your weight by 2.....that is the number of ozs you need to drink a day you can use half a cup of yogurt or low fat milk in the shake or half a cup of fruit. 20 min of exercise a day....no weights....not good to use too many calories when the calorie intake is low I can eat a green salad with 4oz of turkey or chicken once in awhile This is my first day. I won't lie.....I am not hungry, but I have a headache. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. She said that I shouldn't be hungry after 3 days. Okay, you know what I know. I just saved you 300 bucks a month. lol

Jullie.......Awesome news!!!!!!!! Persistence paid off. I hope they get to the source of your pain ASAP! Apples, Bariatric Advantage (to me) doesn't have that vitamin taste as long as it is like a smoothie. I can't stand Sim Fast because of the after taste and it is too sweet. Yeah, see if you can get some samples. See if they will throw in a bottle of Pro Joe too. Melissa, I shared the plan with y'all because I knew you wanted to try it. Heck, if it can save people some bucks I am all for it. A man gave me the "Quick Weight Loss" diet the other day. Not bad.....seems easy to do, and I will try it after I finish this jump start. You might just want to do two shakes and two meals.

You can get Pro Joe online at Bariatric Advantage. You might want to shop around to see if it is cheaper somewhere else. It is 9.5oz,120cals,20protein grams, 5 carb gram. I used about a third of it in coffee and I did add a little splenda. It is sweetened with sucralose. I tried the mocha and I did not like it, but the vanilla is good. Now, they have chai.....haven't tasted it. OH, it did not curdle in the hot coffee, but watch it in the microwave because it will curdle if it gets too hot.

OH Great, please don't tell me.......another cold front????!!!! That last one put me out of commission for a whole day. Maybe it will fizzle out before it hits the Gulf Coast. I just drank decaf coffee and used Pro Joe protein drink for a creamer. Not bad. The vanilla flavor is the best. All the Best on your DD's wedding!!!!

I am back from my first liquid diet program. 4 protein shakes a day-800calories lots and lots of water read positive affirmations lol....stickers of the Davis Clinic to put on things that remind me of my journey.....like the tv remote. I think I will put one on the window button of my car so if I am tempted to go to fast food I have to press on the sticker. 20 minutes of exercise a day. Okay, I have had two shakes a day. I made one with a 1/2c of Carbmaster yogurt and chocolate protein powder.......yummy so far. I can use yogurt, milk, or fruit to doctor up the shakes. I just have to keep the carbs to 50gs a day. When I go out to eat I can have a green salad with 4oz of turkey or chicken.....now that is just once in awhile. Eva.........POSITIVE VIBES GOING YOUR WAY!!!!!!!!

Julie, they are Quaker's quick oats. Just put them in dry with the egg white and jam.

Yes, just mix it in. I use Smucker's SF Blueberry. I also spray an 8" pan. It makes it easier to turn. I figured 150c or less. You can drizzle with SF maple syrup.

I never did try the recipe with steel cut. I used quick oats. 1/4c egg white 1/4c quick oats 1 tbsp sf jam
