Hey gang......Loved the movie Lincoln Lawyer. Yes, I ate popcorn. I'm back on the Chew Chew tomorrow. Apples, Great buys! I've been on a shoe kick lately. I love my Birki's, but they are hard to find around here. So, I went to DSW and found another sandal that feels so good. The little girl sounds like a sweety. I know you are having a great time. I am going to look at those websites on the tummy surgery. I am far from one, but would like to know about it. This is about removal of the excess skin? It shouldn't be as invasive as abdominal surgery like the ones you have had before. You will do great! Joyce, glad to hear you are doing good and will be able to go on your trip. I know you must be ready to get out and travel again. Lori, I know you must be sad to leave Katelyn. Trust me......you will be back very soon. They grow up so fast. Linda, I may buy that book if I can get a "cheap" price. Has it been on the market long enough to be at Half Price books? I am headed to Macy's this morning to get some MAC gel eyeliner. Then is am going to see Lincoln Lawyer. My DH read the book and loved it. So we are having a day to ourselves......NO GKIDS day! Yay! I love them , but after carrying my 2 1/2 year old DGD in the elevator to my mother's apartment my back is Whacked! I did not know my DGD was afraid of elevators. Anyway, going down was a better experience, but not for my back. Linda, that new diet plan is similar like the one we should all be on. I keep forgetting to boil eggs for a snack. I love boiled eggs. Happy St. Patrick's Day! This is a drive by......I have to go to my mother's. Linda, I am pleased with the fillers. My DD said she sees a lift in my eyes on the Botox and the lines around my mouth are not as deep. I am pleased, but I probably won't do the fillers again. I may do the Botox. I like the lift on my eyes. I am like Janet, gonna save my pennies for an eyelid lift. Oh, and a TT too! Those are the two things that bother me the most. Eva, I would love to have a plumeria. They grew outside are apartment in Hawaii back in the day. That is my all time favorite floral scent. Roses are second. Okay gang, Gotta go! Later!

Joyce, I hope you had a great B-day! Julie, I just ache when I hear about all that has happened to you lately. HUGS! NO WAY, you will always be a lap-band buddy! Good Morning Gang! Apples, I know you are excited about your new tummy, but concerned too. My friend had her stomach, boobs, and arms done all at the same time. She was up and moving around in a week. You wear that compression suit to hold everything tight. I think she had a couple of drains for a few days, but it all went well. I think you will do fine. Nothing is more painful than kidney stones, and you a pro. I wish I could be up there to take care of you. I will be sending prayers for your healing. HUGS! Cheri, so glad all went well on the sixieth. I know it must be sad to see your dad going down. I wish my GS had a teacher like you. He needs a teacher with a firm hand and loving touch. She sends her love and appreciation for all the prayers. She is still having pain in her incisions which is pretty normal. Hi Peeps! Lori, glad you made it safe to Denver so you could snuggle with Katelyn......can't wait to see the pictures of four generations. LauraK, sorry you aren't feeling too well. Probably this dang wishy-washy weather. Yesterday was beautiful. Today t-storms and my Fibromyalgia has kicked in. I just don't know why it tightens my band. I ate some chicken an hour ago and just finished pbing. I need a fill, but days like this....no way! Jewel.....I have low thyroid. You can't go to sleep at night and you don't want to get up in the morning. Also, weight gain especially Water weight. I think mine is a little high right now. I get really hot and have a hard time cooling down. Nope....not hot flashes, been there, done that! Hi Eva....come plant my garden......please? lol Apples, you are a busy lady this week. I just took a chicken pot pie out of the oven for a young family at church. The mother of three just got out of the hospital with kidney stones......you can relate. They told her she still has four of them in her kidney. So, tonight it is chicken pot pie, salad, and peach cobbler with ice cream. She is real tiny so she can use the carbs. Sndy.....glad you got a break from caring for dad. Caregivers need time for themselves. Hi Janet and Phy......you too Peaches! Linda, My DH gets up at 4am for work. I did go back to bed for a couple of hours.......feeling achy today, but moving around makes me feel better. I am a morning person. They say when you get older you tend to even get up earlier. Joyce, just put a corner of your bathroom rug under the scale and you can achieve the same loss it did......lol! It sure felt good for a few minutes. Hi Peeps! I just finished walking for the second time today. DH is building me an above ground garden. I am going to plant tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, onions, summer squash, and zucchini. We haven't had a garden since the 70's. It is a challenge, but it is going to be fun. Lori, DD is handling the situation with grace. Props to her! Cheri, you sure are a wealth of information. Are you taking ADD medicine? I told my shrink I thought I had ADD and she said she doesn't prescribe medicine to people my age because of potential heart side effects. She recommended counseling. Janet, have fun!!! Linda, so sorry you are in pain. Maybe it was the pushing the bicycle up the hill. Take some Advil. I hope you are better soon! Boo, I stepped on the scale this morning and I had lost 5lbs. I told my DH about that loss and he said he lost 5lbs. I checked the scale and the bathroom rug was under one end of the scale. I haven't lost 5. Bummer!

Janet, I was just reading about Lisa Mason and Patti Reilly leaving Qvc. Lisa and Patti both wanted to pursue new interests. Lisa lives in Manhattan and the commute was also hard. Lori, MIL is being so catty. Janet is right ......that is her baby boy. I feel sorry for your DD. When my baby boy had their baby I went and cooked, cleaned, and got up during the night to diaper my GS before handing him to DIL. DD knew she would be a handful......SIL isn't helping either. When are you going back to Denver? Sndy.....kickboxing.....wow! You must be really in shape. WTG! Jessica......Congrats! on the run! That would be fun the run with DS. In one column I put the calories count......in another column the WW pts. No wonder I can lose on WW. I am using way to many pts for my resting metabolism. I cut back today. I hate losing that extra hour tonight although DH and I both have been waking up at 4am.....insomnia.....UGH! Goodnight!

I'm right behind you Janet! Good morning Gang! DH and I went to Walmart at 6:30 this morning to get our Honey Milk Protein drinks. Ahhh! It is so nice when you have the place to yourself except for the employees. There were a few seniors like us that don't like crowds, but no kids. Anyway, we shopped then came home and walked. I think I found one reason I was not losing.......not enought Water. I drank 64oz yesterday along with my tea and this morning I started going back down. JANET,........have a great time with the lucky 7's! Lori, I hope your condition is not too serious. Do you think the stress over worrying about your DD could have caused the flare up? Hey Gang! Linda, I agree about eating fats. Dr. Davis said the weight problem in America really started getting worse when everyone went on Low fat/no fat diets and started eating foods with low fat and more carbs. Laura.....glad the fill helped. I feel ya on needing a fill. I am going when the cold fronts stop. My band tightens when the weather is cool. I think it has something to do with my Fibro condition. Our weather is like yours......Low 40's in the morning...... 70's during the day, but it is so nice. Janet, I can tell my eyelids have lifted. I am like you...I would love an eye lift. I know insurance won't pay because they aren't bad enough. I guess we will have to save our pennies. Phyl.....WTG! on the weight loss! Jessica......where are you????? Thanks for the update......I am just glad she is okay. I have had three laparatomies and there is a lot of recovery time for them. I think she can find other options that will work for her. Prayers and HUGS! for Julie I look a little like a chipmunk today. My lines are filled in, but I am just puffy from the injections. Now, I am going to the nail salon to show them my battle scars from the waxing. Maybe they will give me a free Pedi. My girl Ann always blows on the wax before she puts it on my face. That wax was just too hot for my skin. I walked this morning....ate a Protein bar....now off to the showers and a PEDI. Later!

I forgot to tell y'all I went to the gastro dr to schedule a colonoscopy.....it has been five years. Two new things......the new prep is two six ounce bottles of sweet stuff. You drink them with two glasses of Water twelve hours apart and five hours before the colonoscopy. So, drinking the gallon thing is only an option......YAY! Also, the new government guidelines are you only need a colonoscopy every five years if you have had polyps in your immediate family or colon cancer.........ten years for all others. I also showed the doctor the pics that Dr. Davis took of my adhesions. He was amazed. He said he won't forget that picture. I am scheduling the test for next month. DH will be too busy the next few weeks to take me. Julie, I can't get you off of my mind.......Praying every time I think of you!

The Botox just feels like a pin prick, but the filler hurts for a couple of minutes. She put ice packs on my face right away. By the time I left the office I felt fine. The fillers fill in the deep wrinkles around the mouth.....the marionette lines. They don't get all of them, but smooths out the face. I don't know if I will do it again. She told me it will last one to two years. The Botox lasts four months. Botox is a lot cheaper than Radiese.

Wow, I am praying for you Julie. I remember the last time you were in the hospital and all the setbacks you had. I am so glad you called Apples. Love ya Bunches! Lori, I know your arms must be aching to hold you new granddaughter. You DD is really going to need you when she goes back to work. Trust me......she will NEED you! Linda, Hugs on the hip issues......and the teeth thing...OUCH! You are brave. I don't know what to do about a dentist. My dentist had a massive heart attack last Monday while playing raquetball. I was a health nut. Anyway, he passed away last Wednesday at 64yrs. He was my dentist for 35 years. I am still in shock that he is gone. He is the last person I thought would die young. Apples, I hope you are have a good day even though it might be snowing. Think happy thoughts about AZ. Cheri, well, you just about covered all of us including the US Government......the biggest enabler of all. The difference between what I was and what I am now is wisdom to know the difference. I only wish I had learned about enabling before I had my kids. Then they wouldn't feel so entitled. Sorry if I offended anyone.....just venting! I got my fillers. I got a deal. I had an appointment at noon. The nurse came in and put the numbing cream on around 1p. I didn't get the fillers till almost 2p. So, I got my botox free. I only paid 400 for the Radiesse. My face is swollen and red. I think the botox raised my brow and lids, and the Radiese filled in my deep lines, but you can only do so much to my mug. We will see.

Thanks again for all the Birthday Wishes. They have helped me embrace sixity. I had a great lunch with DGS. He was so proud that he had a grandparent there. Then my friend that had the bypass called and I went to her house. She gave me a beautiful cake. I am having one piece and then cutting it up for the skinnys in my family. Let me clarify the Lent thing. I am giving up white starches. I know it will be tough, but I can do it! I just can't do the shake thing. I really burned out. I can't get into it. I can drink Protein drinks, but not shakes.....maybe smoothies. Apples, tell DS Happy Birthday from the old fart that shares the same day. Eva, I just can't even think about letting my hair grown out. The color keeps it somewhat under control. Meredith. I have had the same problem. I have only had tweaks. Some of us just have to go slow or we reflux. I was thinking I was wide open until yesterday. I ate about 3oz of steak last night. ......not good. I pb'd I think I am eating too fast because I get so hungry now. Anyway today I have eaten very little. I did eat oatmeal this morning. Now I am going to eat fish for dinner. Maybe you are someone that needs to do liquids and soft food for several days after a fill. I hope you get relief soon. That is a miserable feeling. Linda, does your DB have cancer? or an infection? LauraK......how's the friendship going?

Yeah, if my mother wasn't paying I wouldn't be doing it. You might want to check into the Lifestyle Lift. My friends face looks nice and natural. She did get some Radiese last week, but she really didn't need it. Her recovery time on the Lift was much shorter than a face lift. She had her eyelids lifted too and the bags under eyes removed. I think altogether it was 7500.

Thanks peeps! I am going to have a great day. I am going to grandparents day at my DGS's school for lunch then having dinner with my DD this evening. I did not realize today was Fat Tuesday......so what are you giving up for Lent. You don't have to be a Catholic to participate. I am giving up anything that is considered a starch. I will still eat good carbs. Now, Janet you might want to give up shopping.....lol! I might do that too! My scars from the face waxing are still there. At least they quit stinging. I am going to get my Vanique filled and quit waxing for a while. I don't think I can even get Radiesse tomorrow. I am still going and let her see if I should wait.

It was six years old when he had the revision. Be it a replacement or revision they still cut his knee in the same place and he was in the hospital four days. A friend of mine had knee replacement last year and she had an epidural or some kind of pain block for three days. It sure made it easier to get up and move around. I saw your Red Hat Pics on FB.....loved them! Kristi, thanks for the "Happy Birthday". Glad you had a great day! Eva, It is real windy here too. We have a cold front moving in tomorrow. It is going to mild. Low 40's and night and high 70's for the daytime. I am enjoying the sunny weather although we can use some rain. It would bring down the pollen and make my grass turn green. So far just the clover is popping up. I can't believe they moved Daylight savings time to this Sunday. UGH! Just when it was getting daylight earlier now it will be dark again. I wish they would just make it one or the other. Can you tell I am getting old? lol

Phyl, my DH had a revision on his knee, but he had a complete replacement the first time. I have heard that the new knees are a lot better. Maybe it was good you waited of a complete knee replacement. My Dh's doctor said since he has lost 100lbs his knees should last 20 more years. He will be 63 next month and one knee is already 10 years old. Julie, praying for you! I know you will feel so much better after a transfusion. HUGS!!! Apples, sounds like DS had a great party. I stopped by on the way home and got my face waxed by a new girl. YIKES! I have four spots she burned. The wax was too hot. Now I will have scabs on my face for a week. I look like my two year old DGD that fell on the playground last week. lol Okay, peeps, gotta go walk the dog. I may not have gone to the gym in a while, but I do keep walking. I want to get back in the gym. I hope my mother will not need me next week so I can get back in the habit.

Phyl, my DH has had a revision on his knee. His recovery was so much quicker than the first replacement. The top part of his knee got loose. He got to where he couldn't walk and the knee would swell. Yes, get it done!

Janet, I got your message. This thread only! Lori, being a new Grandma can be expensive......being a Grandma ten years out is expensive! I am so glad you are enjoying your new title. She is precious! Laura, I am so glad you had a long visit with your parents. Those times are so sweet. Eva, glad you had time to check in. I am off tomorrow to take my mother to the eye doctor. She needs her ingrown eyelashes plucked....OUCH! I am sure she has a few jobs lined up for me. I think we are going to talk to the assisted living department and get her on the list. It will be a thousand a month more, but she needs it. Her eyes are so much worse since this last illness. Linda, How did the cake turn out?
