For a snack I eat Mozarella cheese stick. I have wrapped turkey lunch meat around it. They are pure protein and only 60 calories. I agree about the shake thing. You have to do what works for you. Shakes won't hold you like meat and cheese.

Hi gang! I am down one more lb. I was down two until I drank my coffee and a bottle of water this morning. I have to go on Friday to get a body fat check or whatever they call it. Maybe I will lose that lb again. Great, I hope all goes well today. Yeah, HOA's are something else. I can't believe they didn't even notify you. Take care! Apples, reading about your dental work makes my jaws ache. I guess I am having sympathy pains for you. I know you will be pleased. I guess I ought to go get an estimate for my bottom front teeth, but right now I am concerned about my gums. They seem to be receding. What vitamin do you take to improve the health of gums? PJ....Missed Ya!.....glad you are back on the LBT bandwagon. Janet keeps us from falling off. lol

Just got back from my weigh in.......lost 1lb. I lost two this morning till I drank two bottles of water before I weighed in. I have to see Dr. Davis on Friday so maybe I will lose that lb again. I have to weigh and they do that body fat. One day.......how's it going? Crzytchr......I guess you are busy with the end of school....I am so glad you don't have to deal with the troubled student. I was concerned that you might get harmed. Kimaly.....How about you?

1 Day, You sound like you have recharged your mind. I am so glad you talked to the doctor. Solid protein does hold me better. That is why I eat it once a day. Shakes are only to take food out of the equation and focus on behavior and the right foods. I should be going on two meals and two shakes soon. Get a pedometer and try to walk . 10,000 steps is the ideal, but so far I have only done between 3,000-5500. He wants me to do 6,000 and 30 minutes of exercise. I ride my exercise bike. It is slow, but steady. I weigh in tomorrow. I think I dropped a couple. Melissa, congrats on being an aunt!

I think what I am learning in class every week includes some of the Beck tools. Have you read Change Your Mind Change Your Body....by Daniel Amen? I saw him on tv last week. He was very interesting. So sorry you are so stressed. I know it must be tough. Most of my bosses were women and they were witches. Did I tell you I had gained back 10lbs before I started on this program? I think you need to go see your surgeon and talk to him. Access all the help you can get. We are here for you....... as you have helped us. Start journaling your food this week and just observe how many calories you are taking in. Ease into a program. Just change one thing this week. You will get back on track..........One day at a time!

Good Morning Gang! I just got home from church and my stomach was growling. I made me some eggbeaters for a replacement meal. I am shaking it the rest of the day. Joyce I am on 90gs of protein a day and less than 55g of carbs. The carbs are fruit in my shakes. My calorie intake is between 850-1000 a day. Simon Janet.......thanks for keeping us on the bandwagon! Great, what day are you moving.....will you be without a computer? I hope the move goes smoothly. Take care! It's tough to get in the habit, isn't it?! I am realizing that by getting the PT referral from my doctor, and going to the PT facility at the gym I've been going to, it's helping me develop a good routine for exercise. They have me scheduled for twice a week PT in the pool. So I am doing some exercise each time... but if I just get up a little earlier, I can do the bike and wgt machines BEFORE PT. I did that on Tuesday and felt really good about it when it was done. Today I feel guilty because I screwed up and got here too late to do both. Yesterday wasn't a PT day, but DD and I went to the gym together... so have to see if we can do that on my non-PT days. She works, but only 2 days a week, and she works at the school, so in a few weeks she'll be done until the fall. Wow! Phyl, sounds like you are really developing a habit. Good for you! I actually enjoy walking and the exercise bike, but I don't like to do Core exercises. I really need them because my back is so weak from this flabby abdomen. Julie, happy partying this weekend. I have one GD graduating high school. Great, I take 50,000 units of D in one pill.....once a week. It is not expensive so I would get it filled. I only had to buy ten. The PA told me to buy the B complex. I did get a B12 shot a few months ago......they make me gain weight.....I don't know why.....maybe it is cuz I eat too MUCH.lol

Thanks Linda......you are a mighty pretty lady too! How's that for a Texas drawl. When I lived in Hawaii ( many moons ago) I worked hard on getting rid on that accent.....then I moved back and it only took about a month to pick it up again. I walked today and plan to walk tonight. It is hot here...in the 90's so walking is early morning or late evening. Hi Laura! How's the family! I don't have the exercise bug either. I just have a doctor that I check in with every two weeks. He questions me about my exercise......Ugh! Since I am not good at lying I have to walk and ride my bike. I know it is paying off.

Joyce, Thanks! I have a lot more to lose, but for once I want to complete a ticker. I will extend it after I get the next 3lbs off. Peaches, Judy......how is the OA going? Last week in class we talked about our weight loss tool box. We have to use whatever tool necessary to help our journey . OA, nutrition class, journaling, exercising,LBT buddies......oh and the band. It just takes a lot of tools. Congrats! to both of you for finding another tool that works.:laugh: Apples, hope you have a great weekend! Great.......props to you for getting cookies baked in the midst of a move......I am sure your kids will enjoy them. Janet.....hope you have a good weekend too, and find time to relax. Linda, yep, my bottom front teeth are sharp. I just noticed it since this protein shake diet. My mouth stays so dry, and I keep rubbing my tongue across them. I know......weird. My teeth feel like they are growing fuzz too....lol. I brush them all day long. I think the ketosis causes that gross feeling.

Heck, I didn't know they had a sale. I bought from Sunbelt Imports. They were 6.95 each, but the shipping was only 10 bucks. I ordered five syrups. You have to watch lollicup because their shipping is higher. I am down 3lbs. I am gonna treat myself to grilled fish tonight. We eat at a Mexican food place that has great fajitas and grilled fish. My DH loves fajitas and hates fish so we both enjoy that place.

I just got back from nutrition class......WooHoo!......down 3lb. I guess that walking and biking yesterday really helped. Today was about the dreaded" head hunger". Is it physical hunger?.....or emotional?.....or cravings? I can't hear about that too many times. Laura......I am so happy for your dad and the rest of the family. Melissa.......don't be so hard on yourself. You are really moving forward. Sometimes you just have to ease back into the program. That is what I have done. I won't say this shake thing is a habit yet, but with most food out of the equation I have been making good choices when I do replace the shake once a day. Hang in there! You are on the right track.

Janet......I fertilized your crops this morning. I don't know why I can't count the biking. I walked and biked yesterday and my back hurt all night. My back doctor said I can't walk for more than two miles a day because of my back problems. So, I will have to set my own goal and satisfy both back and weight loss. Great, I just saw on TV that you have tornadoes around your city. Please take care! Prayers for your mortgage problems. Apples.......gotta go babysit then on to nutrition class. Jewel......so sorry for your injury. I hope you recover quickly. Peaches.....you sound like a real peach. That is southern for a real nice person. Joyce.....yuk! I hate picking up after people that should pick up after themselves. Phyl.....Jesus knows our finger gets out of control sometimes......He forgives us. I am just glad you didn't get hurt. Apples......my best personality trait......I am like Peaches.....loyal almost to a fault. I have friends that have crapped on me from time to time, but if they call for help........I am there! Then I have friends who are gems.....like you and the band gang. Lori.....I wish you had a better day with Grandma. The older we get the less we like change. It will take time for her to adjust. Yeah, he mentioned capping them the last time I was in. He will have to pull at least one. I am kinda with your DH on pulling six teeth without sedation. If they have decay they will come out easier than healthy teeth. I have had several molars extracted after they were crowned. They came right out . He just had to numb them. Yep, he will want to cap my bottom teeth. I just hate all that prep....grinding. Ugh! My mother is much better. I think her lungs are clear, but I am concerned about her having night sweats. She goes to the heart doctor on Wednesday.

Goddess Apple.....You ROCK! How is the dental procedures going? I need to go to the dentist and get a cleaning. My bottom front teeth are really sharp (wearing down). Maybe they can grind them where they are not so sharp. Those are the only ones that are not capped. Great.......I know you will miss Grandma, but it is time to share the love with your sisters. You are a beautiful lady. Don't take Aleve. It is too strong for your pouch. I do take Ibprophan 200mg every once in awhile. Laura, How is your dad doing? Is his blood count up? I know what you mean about umph.....I wish I had more. I am supposed to walk 6,000 steps a day. So far, I am only at 3,000. I do ride my bike for 20 min a day, but that doesn't count. Hi gang! I haven't read too many posts. I started with a sore throat on Friday then it went to my head on Sunday.....now I have lost my voice. I did start and Z pak and that is probably why I feel so much better. Those pills do not jive with the shakes. I have only eaten Protein and I think I lost another lb. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!!!!! I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Congrats! on the 3lbs. You have to celebrate once in awhile. Just try to stay away from carbs. Fajita meat is fine especially on a salad. I kinda blew it today too. I have a throat infection and started taking a Z pack. It doesn't go to well with the shakes. So, I ate eggbeaters and made soup. I'll be back tomorrow. I am feeling better this evening. The doctor wants me to exercise and walk at least 6,000 steps a day. I'll start that tomorrow too. Whew! we are only two months from our bandiversary. I really want to meet my July goal.

Hi gang! I had to go see Dr Davis this afternoon. He is happy with my loss. My homework today was if I sit down stay active doing something. Don't just sit and watch tv. I started crocheting again last week when I watch tv. He said for me to exercise at least 30 minutes five days a weeks. I have only been doing 20 minutes. Thanks sunshine, for the prayers. My mother is on oral antibiotics now. For being 86 I think she is making a good recovery. I hope you all have a great weekend!

I am not a medical person, but in nutrition class one of the girls was complaining about leg cramps at night and the nutritionist told her to take magnesium.

Yay! The doctor put my mother on oral antibiotics. No more hospital for now. She is still in skilled nursing. Have any of you used a pedometer app on your iphone? I used Footsteps today, but it is not very accurate . I may have to just use a regular pedometer. Thanks, Linda for the larger print. I'm with y'all on the finals......Crystal and Lee.
