Hey gang.......checking in! Today was a Fibro pain day......I couldn't figure out why my foot hurt so bad and my IBS was kicking. Then about 4pm these huge black clouds started rolling in and the wind was blowing hard. It started to rain.......presto!....my food quit hurting. Is that crazy or what? The IBS thing never goes away. Makes me so mad! Janet and Great.......wow! you are exercise queens! Linda, love the fair pics! You are so petite and cute!!.....DGD is adorable! Melissa, glad you got to see the doctor. Prayers for you! Julie, You go girl....on the sweeping, but don't aggravate your shoulder. Cheri, I agree with you and Janet about switching up the calories. Even though I am resting at 1100 I still go under and over.......today.....definitely over. LauraK.......glad things are working out for you. I wish you the best. That adorable baby is my new great niece, Daphne. She was 2 months old that day. I will be having a new grandbaby by September 13th. Her name is going to be Bethany. I made that picture my profile because I usually don't take good pics. My niece took it with a real expensive camera. I guess it pays to buy the best. Kimaly, post pics when you get back.

Thanks Laura! Well, I took a short walk around the school and a couple of laps around the track. The humidity is much lower tonight. I didn't have any problems.

Checking in....... It is soooooooo HOT! I walked last night and early this morning. I cut my evening walk short and did not get dizzy so it must be the heat. We are going to try a short walk at sundown. Joyce.....I am so sorry for your troubles with DD. It must be heartbreaking for you. I am looking forward to seeing you too in Vegas. Lots of salad, veggies, and chicken and fish. Although I have tweaked the plan I am enjoying salad now that I started buying organic baby greens. My doctor is big or buying only organic veggies and hormone free chicken. I go to nutrition classes every week. I am learning to eat right, and my peeps on this thread have supported me all the way. I am grateful and blessed! I hope everyone has a great evening!

Julie......I am so glad you had a good visit with the pain doc. Your family dr .....forget her. Personally, I like the PA at the doctor's office better than my doctor. She listens. My new great niece was two months old that day. I used that pic because she covered my budda belly. lol Laura....such good news....the shots worked. Yep, those pills can really cause weight gain. I attribute xanax to my hunger for so many years. I didn't realize it till I was put on Lexapro. I fear taking xanax now because I will eat everything , but the kitchen sink. So cute about Nels finding the cake.

Thanks Great! All of you make me feel so good. Talk about younger......I bought this temporary face tightener from QVC. Well, this morning I got it out and followed the directions....you keep it on for 7 minutes then gentlly wash it off. OMGoodness, when I put it on....after 7 minutes I didn't have one wrinkle in my face....washed it off, then I had some lines, but no deep wrinkles. It sure is a quick fix for a few hours. It still doesn't get rid of my turkey neck. The fix for that is not to look in the mirror. lol Hey, where are you staying on Maui? We stayed at the Royal Lahaina. It is older, but very nice. We went to the Luau there too. That is a bummer to have corrosion only after two months. You must have really hard water.

Why oh why did Brandon wait to win an competition AFTER Rachael left? Makes me wonder -- I swear he threw that bowling competition on purpose -- makes sense -- she would be his STRONGEST competition -- he didn't want to compete WITH her he wanted to BEAT her, so he pretended to fall for her and then got her voted out? I thought he really cared but now I'm wondering. I wouldn't put it past him - people do anything for money. Interesting. That's why these shows are so intriguing to me. LOL. Then I sprinkled 100 calorie striped cookies on each serving.....just a few. YUM!!! What did the doctor say today? Melissa, I told my daughter about your procedure. She is having her last baby and is 33. I wonder if they would do that after you heal from delivery?

I am just getting so hot even though I am not walking fast. The heat index this weekend is 112. I might just do all my walking at 6am. Great, the doctor said my port is covered in adhesions. That is probably why it hurts when I squash it with a tummy control. Mine is also on my right side and in my midriff. I guess they put them in a place that looks safe.

Great, yeah, I am watching this year.......don't know why. Rachel is so annoying.....Yay! she is gone! Eva, vent away! What is it about Walmart brings out the worst in some people. My gripe with them is there are like twenty check out places and two checkers. Two of our Walmarts quit using the self-check out registers. I think because of theft. Janet, I am still whining, and no one is listening! I need to turn up the volume tomorrow. Julie, it actually rained this afternoon and cooled the place down. The humidity is only 72 right now. I am still getting light headed in the evenings. I think it must be the heat. I am fine in the morning walk. I didn't miss having FM issues when the weather changed. I had to take a stomach pill for my colon spasms. My adhesions were kicking my butt. My port was was hurting too. UGH! Hated it! Cheri, I can't wear anything over my port especially anything tummy controlling....it HURTS! I quit wearing hose years ago, but I also quit wearing dresses too. Linda, have fun with your DGD this weekend! Laura....I can't believe your mom got so many shots without an IV of some kind of sedative . She is tough. I hope she gets the relief she needs. The humidity is 72.......heat index is mild today....91. The humidity is getting to me in the evening. I am getting light-headed after about walking a mile. The morning walks are fine. Anyway, I am going to the thyroid dr in a couple of weeks. I don't think I need this much thyroid medicine since I am walking everyday. crzytchr.......I know you must be busy getting your classroom ready. I hope you get a good class this year. Later peeps!

Hi gang! Down 1lb.....I'll take it!!! I have to change my ticker. Today's class was about change. What was the biggest change in our life?......hardest thing about change?....biggest benefit of change? It was really a good lesson. I think it is hardest for the ladies having with children at home. Kids don't like to change the foods they have been eating. One lady was even crying because her DH and kids won't support her. I was there once.....that's how I got here. I am spoiled having two DS programmers, DD with a masters in educational technology, and a really geeky DH. I just have to whine and they help so I will shut up. Hey, I just bought one of those Cool Wraps to go around my neck in the heat. Before I dunk it in water.........does it help with the heat????? Any of you peeps use one?

Cookie Salad is just a sweet fruit salad and you add crushed fudge-striped shortbread cookies..... buttermilk, instant vanilla pudding, drained fruit cocktail, Cool Whip and then crushed cookies.. Very good.. DD wants this for the wedding supper... I was testing to see how many people one batch will feed.. I figure 25- 30 if I stretch it with some miniature marshmallows....... So I have that figured out... I have to do that with the pasta salad she wants sometime soon, too, so I know how much stuff to buy.... Julie........that sounds awesome! Will you send me the recipe. i would like to make it for Bunco. We usually have about 48 ladies. You pain doc will help you....that is there specialty. I am on the look for a family doc too. Mine is too busy to take calls, or her nurse doesn't return calls. Hang in there! Mayo is just a few weeks away. Lori, oh my, poor Apples. I hope they get to the bottom of her pain. She must be miserable. Janet, i love your new haircut. I have bangs too. I started growing my hair out a few months ago. It is at the bottom of my ear now. I think I will let it grow another inch or two. Well, I got in my friends pool today for about an hour just treading water and using those foam weights. Now, I will walk again tonight, but I will take water. This heat wave is unbelievable....or am I just old?

Judy......that stuff works. My DH told me my hair looked like my sister's...Yikes! Them are fightin words! lol! So, I went out at got the anti-frizz. He said my hair looks smooth now. Well, the heat index this evening was 96 and the humidity was 70.....I got dizzy again......walked like a drunken sailor. There wasn't any breeze. Duh! I didn't think about taking a water bottle. Lots of posting today.......Apples would be proud...burning up the thread. I walked this morning. I have been good on plan today I love this pedometer. I have burned 400 calories and I still have to walk this evening. Judy-WTG! on the 6 1/2lbs! Awesome! I am doing a Optifast bar and shake today. I ate grilled flounder and veggies for lunch. Julie-What did the nurse tell her? Some doctors are paranoid about being sued. My doctor will not prescribe any narcotics. She has a sign in her waiting room stating the drugs she will not prescribe. I hope you find a doctor that can meet all of your needs. I am believing Mayo will get to the bottom of your pain issue. HUGS!!!! Lori, sorry you didn't get to see Grandma. I bet this is a real busy flying time with all the college students going back to school. Jodi......Happy Camping! Okay......gotta get in the kitchen and make chicken salad for our pastor. I don't think I told y'all, but he was in a motorcycle accident a month ago. He had broken ribs, punctured lung, punctured spleen, and a broken shoulder. His wife injured her knee. He was life flighted to San Antonio and spent a week in intensive care. He is much better and should start preaching again in two weeks. We are so grateful for his recovery.

Good morning peeps! I just finished my morning walk. I bought a pedometer with a calorie counter. I burned 267 calories this morning. That means I am burning that much at night too. So why am I not losing? I am going to monitor my water, protein, and carbs today. I think the culprit is carbs. Do any of you buy a frizz serum for frizzy hair? My hair is frizzy because under the color is a lot of gray. Anyway, I bought a Garnier frizz and shine serum to put on my hair after I wash it. It is awesome! One day, sorry you fell......I bet that was a sight to see. lol. I looked at those toning shoes only they were NB. The shoe guy said they are not as high and easier to wear. They were comfortable. That might be my next pair of shoes. Meanwhile, I am breaking in my new pair of NB I bought six months ago. Walking everyday finally I finally wore out my old pair. I will check in on Wednesday! Hi gang! I am back from my DGD's birthday party. Yes, I did have a very small piece of cake. I did not bring any home. I am having hunger issues. It is always between 2-5 in the evening. Tomrrow I am gonna hit the shakes and just one meal a day till Wednesday. I have got to get at least a lb off. Great, I am a one purse carrying person. I usually carry one for at least 6 months to a year. My back is feeling so much better this evening. Gotta go walk. Later!!!!!

Went to Macy's (had 20% coupons) Saved $50 ;0) got 2 pair on INC pants that fit like a glove - one in peities to wear w/flats and one regular to wear w/heals - Oh ya got a pair of Tiharri (sp) pants - size 0 and they are lose ;0) These were on the clearance rack a Karen Kane blouse gray w/sequines on the front these were on clearance too - then went to the shoe department - I want ballerina flats but most make my 10's look so big and fat - found some Stan Weissman for like $150 (NOPE) - found a pair of Joan & David $92 for $27 ... and they look good on my feet.. Got 2 bra's at Penny's and then came home - Sounds like you made quite a haul yesterday. Size 0???? Wow, I may have been a 0 when I was fourteen and had Mono.....lol. My goal is 12-14. I will made it happen!! I watched QVC too. I was so tempted to buy, but no......gotta wait. I like the Tiganello organize purses because of the outside organizer. I put my cash and some cards in it. So, who makes the pants that you bought on QVC? I missed them. My sister said she saw B Makowsky purses at Marshalls.......really discounted. Cheri, I believe the brick thing. You know what shit means.....ship high in transit because if the manure got wet in ships it would blow up. Now, I just got an email about it......didn't check to see if it was true, but makes sense.
