  1. Hello guys, So I got sleeved on July 4th, 2016 and everything went as expected. I lost about 80 pounds in 6 months, which is acceptable having had many plateaus in which I would not loose weight but my size would come down. Since January 2017 I've hit my biggest plateau yet, not losing a single pound since. To top that, I found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant now. I'm happy about the pregnancy, but the thing is I've become ravenous!!! I need to eat something every two hours or I would get severe hunger cramps and nausea. And I'm nauseous after i eat for half an hour as well. I'm suffering all the time!!! It is especially more difficult at work. Imagine you're eating all the time while working... This is so frustrating. My nutritionist said that this is normal during pregnancy and that I should have healthy snacks and fruit, which I'm carrying with me all the time these days. Even when I'm visiting my friends I need to take some snacks and fruit to eat at their houses, which the least to say is frustrating and embarrassing. I hope this situation would change in the second trimester. At least I'm not gaining any weight which is my biggest concern at the moment.
  2. Since I have a girl I would prefer a boy now. But ultimately a healthy child whether boy or girl in my preference. About the surgery, changing your eating habits is the biggest challenge. I would get really frustrated when I couldn't eat what everyone else was eating. But you always have to give yourself pep talks. I would think for example "let them eat, they'll get fat, and I'm eating like a top model... hahahahahahaha". You need to stay focused and positive and it will pass. Your new eating and exercise routine would become natural for you. Besides, you will be busy showing off your new body and abilities, like climbing to the fourth floor on foot without breaking a sweat. Its unbelievable how happy that makes me. Just one more thing. Since your body is used to carrying the extra weight all the time you will become more energetic and physically capable than an originally fit person after you lose the weight.
  3. Thank you :-) . This is my second actually. I have a 5 yrs old daughter who is very excited to become a big sister. On the day of my op I was 310 pounds and now I'm 230. Still have a long way to go but you cant imagine the HUUUUUGE difference these 80 pounds have made on my health and life. I recommend this surgery 200%.
