  1. Yeah I am pretty sure she said she didn't want an answer from the rude know it alls... You in no way should be flattered, you should just take that ugly ass picture down. The end!
  2. I know that I am going to make it. I am not without flaw and when I solicit advice I want to be told the truth not coddled. I think there is a line that is often crossed though. I do not want advice from someone who has read everything they know. I would really rather get my advice from someone who has had the band a little longer than me and who has lived it.
  3. Ya know, every time I see one of your post it pisses me off. Frankly, I am tired of hearing about how great you are and how disciplined you are and how others need to be. You are a month out of surgery and think you know everything there is to know about the band. How about leaving some of the post to get answered by people that have had the band a little longer than a month. Sometimes I stay away from this board just because I don't want to see what rude ass reply you said to someone who is looking for answers.
  4. Please! Tell me what you think.. I kinda feel bad for eating them but then try to justify it because they are 100 calories. What's your opinion? Thanks Mang!

HELP!!!!! Having serious issues with my 3rd fill

I have never experienced it but have heard of people that are so tight water will not go down. I might suggest waiting a day to see if there is any change. My doctor has me on a liquid diet for the first 24 hours then to mushy and so on and I think the initial very tight feeling might be why. The only thing that you really can do to be sure is to call your doctor.
  6. I think it's great that you have done so well but I am pretty sure you were not asked. Those of you who come on here to judge and put others down who have not gotten it obviously use this board as a means to heighten something lacking in your self esteem. If you are so great and without flaw than why would you get a lap band??
  7. Sorry that you have had such a tough time. I promise you that most people ( even if they don't admit to it) have issues before getting banded. You probably don't have much restriction if any at all so of course you can eat normally. Don't give up. Things will get much easier once you start getting fills.

    Silly question

I was banded on october 1st and have lost 25ish pounds since surgery. Sometimes when I see peoples tickers that say they were banded after me and have lost like 60 or 80 pounds it makes me feel like a failure. I was just wondering if this is usually weight that they started losing before or if that's all post op. Thanks Everyone
  9. It really took me a good week to a week and a 1/2 to feel like a human again. I was groggy, sore, and anything else you can think of. I am sure in a few more days you will really start to feel better.
  10. Hi everyone! I live in Jacksonville too. I was banded on oct 1st. Hope you are all doing great!

    tough 2nd day after surgery

Hi Denee, I can say that I really felt like crap on the 2nd day. I was not prepared or expecting how crappy I felt. I think it took me a good week to feel like a human again. I had lots of gas and found that walking really helped.

    Oh Crap!!!! HELP

I cannot believe what a BITCH you are! You do not even have a band so how the hell would you know who deserves sympathy or not?? It really is hard to have sympathy for such ignorance. Please educate yourself. Hershey, I hope you are ok dear. I am sure you will be though. Like others have said the band is on the outside of your stomach. I would just be really careful of the gum in the future.

    Go RAYS!!!!

It's pretty sad I am from Florida and have NO IDEA who the Tampa Bay Ray's are. I know they are not football but that's about it.
  14. I am not really sure if this is normal or not. I was banded on the 1st My scars looked really good a few days ago not they are really puffy and almost look like there is a rash on them... Also kinda itch. I know everyone has different skin but just wondering if this is normal for healing or if anyone else had this...

I think my scars are infected

I wish I was that way. I will totally bug the crap out of my drs office. I feel like I need to get my moneys worth. Sad I know. The benadryl does seem to be working or its knocking me out so long I cannot scratch the rash and it has time to heal.
  16. I use to work for a credit repair company and if you want to email me I can go over the basics with you. Its something you CAN do on your own and very easy. A lot of people don't know how to do it that's why lots of people pay for it.

I think my scars are infected

I think I am ok. I called the dr and they did not seem to be too worried. I have been oding on benadryl and it does seem to make a difference. I think it might be a response to the tape or I am a hyppcondriac

Need help with SPANX...a little off topic, sorry

Spanx are awesome. I know the lady that makes spanx also has a line she sells at target for a lot cheaper I don't know if they are as good. On the back there is a height and weight chart. Hope this helps.

    Question

This was a problem for me too as well as many others im sure. I am not sure if this will work for you but I will tell you what I did.. I found all my childhood records and took them to my current doctor and he was willing to write me a letter saying that I have been obese for more than five years.

    Plans to Band

I agree with everyone here. I would not go by price. When I found the doctor that was right for me I drove 2 hours for every appointment to see a doctor that was more expensive than a local doctor.

    Just Need to Vent

What a rude bitch! I would swiftly remind that lady and anyone else who forgets their place that they work for you and without you and other patients like you they would not have a paycheck. I would also ask her if you are walking and burning off the same amount of calories walking that you would on a treadmill why does she care? Does she have some kind of deal worked out with the gym where they cut her in a small profit?
  22. I think its fine that you still have them on after 8 days. My doctor told me to wait until they started curling up on their own. I took them off a little before that because I wanted to see my incisions I think that was around day ten.
  23. I was coughing junk up a few days after surgery.. I don't know if it is normal but I did have the same thing. I have asthma so don't know if the two are related but yeah you are not alone.
  24. I think it took about four or five days to get rid of all the gas.
  25. yeah my pain was way more than I thought it would be. I am guessing it was the gas. I know when I had to lay on the table for the x-ray I could not lay back on my own because of the amount of pain I was in. I like yourself did not expect it. I was getting morphine every two hours ( I spent the night in the hospital) and I don't think it really made a difference. I remember thinking I don't know how people go home the same day after this surgery... I hope you feel better soon.
