    Hungary and Eating at night

I just had a protein drink in milk. I think it tastes better with milk and it adds protein. I also had a slimfast bar that tastes more like a candy bar. Maybe I won't eat anything else tonight. I just realized CarolNY, Loseweightin08 and me were all banded in January 08. That's pretty nice that we all are on this site. Maybe we should start a January 08 group,.

    Hungary and Eating at night

I'm glad your allergies feel better. I agree, somedays are easier to eat than others. I just realized how much you've lost in a year - Hurray for you - Congratulations. This is wonderful. I'm 30-40lbs from goal. 3 lbs to goal. You can do it. I had an unfil of .25cc in December 9 because I couldn't hold any food down. It's a little better but I'm still thinking about a little more of an unfil. I think if I can get more food in me I'll lose weight. Like if I can get more Protein in. I'm so sick of Protein drinks. What would you do? Fill or unfil, that is the question.
  5. Hi Yes I've been banded a year tomorrow. It's great I've lost 85 lbs alreaduy. Goal is 30 more lbs. Have you been banded yet?

    Hungary and Eating at night

Carol I'm so glad you came aboard. It's so nice to have someone with a bandaversary almost the same as mine. 70 lbs is great. I didn't have any restriction for the first few months and the next couple of months were really uncomfortable with the restriction. All the pain in my chest and not being able to eat. Today I even had problems eating and getting in enough Protein. So it's never easy. That;s why I'm so hungary at night. Brad is right about that. And sometimes I'm just too lazy to try to make the right food choices at night. (could be all day too).Anyway, I'm glad to know there's someone who feels the same way. Maybe we could chat each night to support each other so we don't eat. What time do start eating? I don't know how to do the ticker factory but maybe Brad can help.
  11. Hi BeachBum NJ

I just found your message again. What luck. I thought I deleted it and set up a thread to find you. I would love to have an exercise buddy. What are you up to.

Available Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Michigan

Hey BBK, Thanks so much for offering your support. It must feel great to be at goal. I can't wait. I'm almost banded a year and the first year the weight just came off probably because I was really restricted for a couple of months. But now I'm trying to really eat and chew and eat slow so I can get some weight off. I'm at a plateau. Anyways, how much food can you eat and then how long are you full for. I don't seem to be able to get enough food in at a meal.

    Ice Cream horror

I started eating ice cream following regurgitatin my food when it got stuck in my chest and I had pain. I found the ice cream soothing. But now it has taken over. I'm addicted and every night I have to have it. I still don't eat much during the day and still regurgitate food. Do you think I need to have an unfill so I can eat more. The thought of this is terrifying but I've been at a plateau for 2 months and know if I stopped the ice cream I'd havae a better chance. Can anyone help? Thanks
  16. Givemeglory I am in the same boat. Stuck with most foods, can eat easier and too much at night, and stuck at a plateau the past few months. I started a thread called hungary and eating at night in the Janusry 08 section. I go up or down 1-2 lbs since the beginning of November. I'm so frustrated. Last time I went to the doctor 12/9 I had a .25 unfill. I can't say it helped much but I've been working on my chewing and eating slow so more food is getting down with no weight gain thank god. Girls - Hi everyone - Update Tonight was my first slimming. I thought I ate and chewed okay and then soon after I got this wet mouth feeling, chills, nausea an had to throw up like immediately. Slime and the rest of my food came up (sorry so graphic). I'm trying to pinpoint why that happened after almost a year of being banded. Anyone got any ideas?

Susie and Sula - My doctors started doing this laproscopic procedure for reflux. They just started it in NJ. Maybe going on their website will help. Since it's new I don't know if it will be there. There phone number is 732-761-1740, and their website is: INFO@ENDO-SURGICAL.COM. dR. Washington and Dr. SAdek do this procedure. Juno610 - Thanks so much for the support. I must say that I did get on the treadmill the last 2 days. It was soooooo hard to muster up the energy and motivation. Hope I can keep it up.

Lap Band Fills / Adjustment Info

BJ I'm working on the 32 chews and it's getting a little easier. Thanks. I'm also at a plateau and I know it isn't easy. My goal is to get into normal size clothes, like a large in Macy's and size 14 pants so I don't have to shop in the Women's Dept and the sizes in the regular sizes fit. Right now I'm between an XL and 1x so nothing fits right. But soon.... Arkie Did you get the fill when you went to the doctor? Maybe with the fill you won't need to stay on the Atkins diet

    One year update

Congratulations Gingerbug!!!WTG!!! and on your bandaversart too. Celebration is in order, go get yourself another pair of size 12. WOW - I agree. I still feel like I haven't changed much also. I usually don't take the time to look but a few times I was pleasantly surprised. Suzanne My doctor said I was a "success story" and is throwing me to the wolves. He wants to see my in 3 months for a follow-up. But I still have 25-30lbs to lose. My goal is to see my feet in the shower. Dazzle - I've struggled all year with my band so I really understand. But hang in there.

    Hungary and Eating at night

Brad, LOL I just respo9nded on the other site. I'm glad you found me again. Let's talk. I was eating some yogurt this morning to get some protein down and I felt some restriction. So I did go for a cup of hot tea. )The first time I've tried that). And then I went back to the yougurt a 1/2 hour later. Maybe I should have tried sooner. But here I am on this site instead of getting my butt upstairs to walk on the treadmill.

    Ice Cream horror

Thanks for asking,. I was banded 1/28/08. I know I have a 14cc band and I think I'm at 11. Im not sure because I've had so many fills and a couple of unfills b ut I think I'm at around 11. I'm going to check next time I go to doctor. last time I saw the doctor was 12/9 I had a .25 unfil because I couldn't keep things down. But now I'm really hungary at night. I have more "dietetic and healthy" foods in the house but you know if you eat too much of that it's not too hellpful either for a weight loss. I can't seem to push myself for the exercise right now, I hope its just a phase I'm going through. But honestly, I haven't been too good with the exercising all year long. Nice to know that you care. Thanks and it's good to see that you know what your doing and you're doing it well. 60 lbs in just 5 months is great.Keep up the good work

    Ice Cream horror

Thanks for all the info Brad. I haven't had ice cream at night for about a week, but I find that the nighttime is still a horror because I'm still eating alot. I did buy the diet Jello. I eat that, Protein bars, ceral and milk and I can't stop thinking about food at night. Can anybody help. I'm not exercising so these extra calories are killing me. I don't know how to get control of this night eating. Thanksk for any support.
  24. Hi, I'm a married woman, 46 years old and I was banded 1/28/09. My start weight was 250 and now I'm 166. I have 20 -30lbs left to lose. I know that's not bad but I got here the very hard way. Couldn't get the right amount of restriction and had a lot of chest pain and regurgitating along the way, not knowning if I'd be able to eat the next meal or not. But I plateaued 2 months ago. Anyways, I'm trying to work with my band. It is so hard for me to get into the chew, chew, chew mode and the slow, slow, slow mode, I guess because old habits die hard, even after a year. I was probably torturing myself all year because of not being able to chew and take time eating. It's very hard to get myself to exercise as well. I could really use a mentor who's been there, done that and could support me in making my lapband surgery positive for me as I know this is now a new lifestyle and I don't want to spit up like a baby wherever I go. If I could have done this on my own I wouldn't have needed my band. Thanks alot.
  25. Hey Bunkey
