  1. I'm fairly new to this site...I haven't had surgery yet (hopefully June '17) I didn't know there was a store. I'm thrilled to see this! I was concerned that I wouldn't know good quality bars, shakes etc to buy. I assume this is all good stuff to try!!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Time off

I'm planning my surgery for June. I have a physically demanding job working with young children, so I decided the whole Summer off would be the best thing for me to do. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  3. I believe that!!! I wish I could have it done sooner, but unfortunately, I have to wait until June because I can't get time off from work. I work in a school with summers off so that's my plan!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  4. I hope to only have good "side effects"when I have my surgery. I know how you feel when you say that you feel like chickening out. I go bck and forth from excitement to being scared to death. But when I think of everything that this weight has taken from me, I realize that its worth taking the chance. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  7. Hi. I am hoping to have my sleeve surgery in June '17. I was wondering if anyone that has had the procedure had a previous endometrial ablation. I am wondering if it will affect it in any way. I haven't had my period in 6months and I hope it STAYS that way! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I'm hoping for surgery in June '17. I wish it could be sooner, but I can't take time off from work, and I am off all Summer, so it seems like the best choice. I love hearing about these great experiences! I go back and forth worrying and feeling confidant. I hope I have a great experience. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Would you do it again?

That's so awful! But I feel the same way so often - especially in last 2 years - I gained more weight due to migraine drugs that I've been on and just look and feel awful. We don't like to admit that appearance is important but if it affects how we feel about ourself, and our confidence, then it is very important. XOIt's nice to know that there are people out there that understand. I hope things het better for both of us! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  17. Hi. I have just decided on having the sleeve. I am not planning on getting it done until June (I work in a school, so i'll have the Summer to recover) my feelings are flip flopping from super excited, to nervous, embarrassed that I let myself get to this point. I have always been a bad eater LOTS of carbs. I KNOW it's going to be hard, but I also KNOW I am ready. I'm afraid of throwing up.I have NOT thrown up in 40 years, since I was a kid. That part scares me. Plus, is 2 months long enough to be physically back to "normal?"And my biggest question...THose of you that have the sleeve.....WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN??? Thank you Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Would you do it again?

Thank you. I can't wait to be in the same position so I can leave a job where I am treated badly and that I DREAD going to. I just don't have the confidance at 275lbs to go somewhere else Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Would you do it again?

I think ANY doubt I had about having the surgery left me today. I went back to work (I work in a school, we are closed for the Summer) and not only did I get passed over for a promotion because my boss wants someone with "more confidance", but when I got home, I had to take pain meds and go right to bed. My back and knees hurt so bad, I could just about finish my day. I HAVE to get this weight off!!!! (I work with Toddlers, it's very physical. Holding them, getting up and down off the floor, bending down to pick stuff up etc) I can't wait to be out of pain. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Would you do it again?

I'm expecting (from what I've read) that the first few weeks will be hard. I just hope that I don't have the vomiting issue(it's a phobia of mine) that's the ONLY thing worrying me. I'm so happy you are doing well! Post pics of your results when you get to your goal!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Surgery tomorrow..

I am not having surgery until June, but I have days when I think"I'm not doing it, it's too scary", then, something happen like today. I was turned down for a promotion because " I don't have enough self confidance" it makes me realize just how much the weight is taking away from me, and I'M SICK OF IT! I wish I could do it tomorrow! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    My gp's opinion

Thank you. I guess I was just double guessing my decision after meeting with him today. I won't meet with the surgeon for a few months yet since my surgery won't be until June. I am NOT planning on cheating. Eating crap is how I got here in the first place. I'm ready to do this 10000%!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  23. I saw my gp today and told him I am planning on getting the sleeve in June. He was supportive, but he thinks I should get the bypass. His reasoning is that with the sleeve, people gain the weight back because they learn how to eat "around the sleeve". I DON'T want a bypass. I was just wondering what others think. My gp's opinion

I agree with you. I am very afraid of messing up. I've been doing lots of research, and getting opinions. I still have a long time until my surgery, I just want to learn as much as I can. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
