My next appt is March 25. It is for the breathing tesy, cardiologist, Nut and psych. Then I guess I go from there. I have read most positive things about the sleeve. I dont want a bypass, i dont want THAT much done to my intestines. My dr wouldn't even discuss it with me I have over 100 to lose -
Since I still have about 3 months until my surgery, I am working on increasing my fluids. I just made up some crystal light, and I'm trying to find a Protein shake that I like.

The closer I get, the more scared I get. But the fear of what my future holds if I DON'T GET IT SCARES ME MORE! -
I have a question about hydration...I am not being sleeved until June, but I was wondering...HOW am I going to get 64ozs of fluids in AFTER surgery when I hardly drink anywhere near that now??? I drink maybe 24 ozs a day. I am working on it though.

I know this is off the topic of your reply, but I just tried the Firlife low fat milk snd it was good. Is it ok for us to drink the chocolate? (I am trying to learn everything I can before my June sleeve surgery)
-
Thank you. I did try the new yoplait greek 100, it was ok. I could probably keep eating that, I am just trying different kinds.

Does anyone know if Noosa yogurt would be a good choice after sleeve surgery? I am wondering because it seems to have alot of sugar, but I think the Protein amount is high also. I need to learn about all of this stuff. Including protein powders, shakes etc.
-
Ia that the way to decide? Make sure there ia more protein than sugar? I am still in the early stages, so.I'm trying to learn as much as possible before my June surgery.

Me too!!! And NO MORE men's t-shirts everyday! No more knit pants, no more shorts and t's over my bathing suit!!!! -
I am not telling anyone outside my immediate family, is the bracelet very obvious?
-
Now I'm not sure what to do....I'll ask at my next appt.
-
Is that the same for sleeve patients?
-
I guess MAYBE more so for people that have a bypass more so than a sleeve?
-
I haven't had my sleeve surgery yet, but this is the first I have ever heard of medical alert bracelets for bariatric surgery. Is it necessary?
-
I would definitely NOT drive if I am taking meds. Thats one reason I decided to have it done in June, when I'm off all Summer. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi. I will be getting my sleeve surgery in June, I was wondering, do you have to wait a certain amount of time to drive after surgery? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Outpatient sleeve anyone?
char3672 replied to Belle_Mimi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's ok. I understand what you mean. I think in my heart, I KNOW it's probably the best thing to stay at least 1 night to make sure everything is ok. It's just that I have NEVER stayed overnight in the hospital. I guess I'm just worried Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Outpatient sleeve anyone?
char3672 replied to Belle_Mimi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm scheduled for 24hrs too. Every "outpatient" surgery I have had was in and out the same day. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
