  1. I hate looking around a room when I enter to see if there is a chair that will hold me! Outside parties are THE WORST! With folding chairs!
  2. I am still pre-op (June 14) My family bought me a Nutra Bullet and I was wondering, what are some things I can make with it post-op.

    Please help! I'm nervous....

I LOVE the Jay Robb protein shakes. I am also pre-op, so I will be buying only a few to start with. Good luck!
  4. Is 4-6 weeks when you KNOW you won't have a leak? Is that how long it takes to fully heal inside? How do you avoid leaks? My surgery will be in June. I'm very afraid of leaks

    Sugar Addiction

I have a carb addiction! I am having surgery in June, and I have started cutting back alot on my carbs. I think I do better when I KNOW I CAN'T have something. I have been researching carb alternatives. We CAN do this!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
  6. I am still pre-op, but I have been trying out alot of different shakes so I can find one I like before surgery. I found Jay Robb protein shakes, they are SO GOOD! Taste just like chocolate milk. I've tried choc, vanilla and strawberry, they are ALL REALLY GOOD! I got mine from their website(you can buy single packets to try), but they also sell them on Amazon. Good luck.
  7. Hi. I am having my sleeve surgery in June. I am a complete carb-aholic! I have decided to cut my carbs now, so I'm not doing it all at once. My problem is, what do you eat for breakfast? And what types of foods contain "good" carbs? I am completely ready to do this, but I just need the knowledge of how to do it RIGHT!

I'm going to TRY eating fish for tge first time in my life when I have surgery. I LOVE crab, but no other seafood.
  13. You look great! I'm scheduled for June 14. I'm so scared! But I know if I DON'T do it, I will NEVER get my life back! I'm mostly afraid of complications!!!

I can stay away from sweets, my main problem is bread and pizza! I won't even have a BITE of pizza, because I KNOW I won stop at just a bite or just sometimes. It would be ALL the time.

Is flavored greek yogurt a no no? I thought that as long as the protein was higher than the sugar content it was ok. I hope my nut teaches me these things, she hasn't been very helpful yet. I am planning on finding a dietician after surgery(someone on here recommended that instead of a nut)

I'm definitely going to try this. I am so ready to make a change, but I KNOW giving up carbs is going to be hard. I've already given up soda, and I am dojng very well with sweets, this is my last...and hardest hurdle!
  19. I can make one suggestion, I am not having surgery until June, but I have been trying different protein shakes and finally found one that tastes like regular chocolate milk! Its Jay Robb whey protein shakes. I got them online! Good luck.

    Who Are You?

My name is Charlene. I am 45yrs old, never married, no children (I blame my weight for both if these, since it causes me to have NO confidance) I work with 2 yr olds ft. I have been overweight (morbidly obese) since I was about 10yrs old and put on massive doses of steroids for a hormonal imbalance, which I later found out I never had. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and back, knee and shoulder arthritis. I have always loved softball, and hope to play again some day. I am having my sleeve done in June, and I am scared. I am not scared of the life changes, I am more afraid of complications. I am having the surgery not only for my health, but also so I can START living my life!
  22. I am scheduled to have my sleeve surgery in June, I have been going back and forth between excitement and fear. Today was just another "reminder" of why I NEED this surgery so bad. I was taking my niece into the gym for her softball practice, it was a downhill walk, then up 2 flights of steps into the gym. For the first time in my life, I got extrememly winded and felt like I was going to pass out. It was the scariest feeling ever (it didn't help that the gym was EXTREMELY HOT) This never evwn happened to me when I weighed 310 lbs! (I now weigh 276) I know now that I need to be more scared of NOT having sugery than having it.
  23. I joined when I first started thinking about having surgery, and even though I have read some scary stories, most have been supportive and positive. I am really looking forward to the day AFTER my surgery lol
  24. I'm June 14. You can let ME know what to expect! [emoji6]
