  1. I had the gastric sleeve surgery on August 3, 2016. The first 6 weeks I lost 55 pounds, but I have been in a stall ever since. Well I've lost maybe 7 pounds through this "stall". I go to the gym 3 days a week for Water aerobics class, which I know it is working me out because I feel the pain and burn a few hours later. I eat Protein first and carry water or Powerade Zero with me everywhere I go. I am taking my Multivitamins and also Biotin per docs orders. What am I doing wrong?!?! Should I weigh everything I eat? If so, how much should I be eating? I usually eat only till I'm satisfied. Low carb/high protein is my diet. I will confess I have 1 cup of 1% milk once a day. But not every single day. HELP!!!! I feel like a failure right now. Oh! I was so weak until about 4-5 weeks ago and it scares me to lose the energy I have now. But I've gotta do something!!!! 2. I am almost 6 weeks out and I was wondering if there are any wraps I can use to make sandwiches? If so, which ones are best? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi everyone! Ok, I know that Premiere Protein powders will clump if you add to food that is over 140 degrees, but I'm wondering if they all do? I made a gross mistake of adding a cupful of unflavored powder to my very small cup of cream of mushroom Soup and it tasted like I had put a capful of flour or something in it. It has completely turned me off from cream Soups like that now and also made me scared to add the powder to any foods since. Does anyone have any recipes that you put the powder (any flavor) in that didn't taste chalky or gross? I'm struggling bad with these powders!! HELP!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Corn....

I am 5 weeks out and I want to make some crock pot taco Soup that calls for white shoe peg corn. It calls for 2 cans but I plan to only use 1 can. Has anyone had difficulty eating corn at this stage? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I am 3 weeks post-op, sleeved Aug 3, 2016. I am absolutely miserable and feeling extreme fatigue. Up until yesterday morning I was doing quite well with my Fluid and Protein intake. Pretty much meeting my goals for both. But out of no where I started feeling nauseated and threw up 3 times. It was nothing but bile all of those times but it is keeping me from wanting to eat or drink. My surgeon called me in some Zofran but it doesn't seem to help much. I do not have a fever so I'm hoping it isn't a virus, but I can't get comfortable and my back and left shoulder hurts. Has anyone else suffered from extreme lack of energy at this point? How long did it last? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    ZERO Energy!

@@Armygalbonnie No I do not have my gallbladder. Had that nasty ol thing removed when I was 21 years old. @@GACaldwell I'm definitely hoping this is just a stage I'm going through. I'm so miserable and feel like I'm gonna pull my hair out if I can't get passed it. @@Jobey I guess it could be stress because I'm definitely stressing over not having energy. ZERO Energy!

@@cindyw41 Yes I am taking a complete Multivitamin, Biotin, Calcium chews with Vitamin d, and a B-12/B-6/magnesium supplement. I'm going to see my doc tomorrow so I will have him do blood. I just feel so horrible and I'm desperate to get better. I've also read where some folks have had to tweak their BP meds too. Oh I hope he can help me! Thank you! 9. I was sleeved on August 8, 2016. So I'm 13 days out. Just an FYI for all new sleevers... If you end up with gas trapped in your abdomen it is some of the worst pain ever! I have been good for several days now but, last week it was so bad that my doc was concerned enough to do a CT scan on me to make sure a staple didn't slip on me, have a blood clot, a pleural effusion, or even pneumonia. It literally knocked the breath out of me every time I moved and was located on my left side and shoulder. All I could do was walk, walk, walk! And lots of rocking back and forth. So this is a post for folks struggling with pain. Of course, go to doc to be sure everything is ok, but don't talk yourself out of walking due to pain. Sent from my VK815 using the BariatricPal App

    Gas pain is no joke!

I hate that everyone feels tired and weak but it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I start my college classes back tomorrow and I'm praying I can do it. Luckily it's a community college with a small campus but UGH! Today has been really rough and I'm having a lot of shoulder and neck pain. I had applesauce last night and ate 2 small pieces of zucchini that was cooked until soft and now I'm feeling a little queasy today too. I just want to feel better!!! Gas pain is no joke!

@ Unbridled Yes I am feeling better, thank you! Now I'm just worried because I can't seem to get the little bit of energy back that I had before the surgery. No matter how much protein/fluids I take in, I'm still so sluggish. My surgeon was telling me about something they call NEAT calories. He explained it as no matter what, your body is burning calories even if you are asleep. So when I start getting figity around 7-8 pm it is because of energy that I've burned by doing nothing. Makes sense but it didn't tell me how to get my lost energy back...lol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
