    Haters will always hate

Thanks for the advice. I will look into that. Your progress before your VSG is awesome. You will surely progress even better now that you have your tool. I would love to hear more about your journey as you go forward. Happy New Year and Happy New You. ???? Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

    Haters will always hate

Rather than say they are haters, I'd say they were more curious and possibly concerned...and yes...there's some gossiping in there as well. Just remember that when we are very large and loose alot of weight, it's common for those folks who know you as a heavier person to think you have/are losing too much weight. Not so. It's perception. I lost more than half my body weight and lots of people thought I should have stopped losing weight 50 lbs. or more ago. Besides....our bodies will tell us when we've lost enough. I know mine did and now I'm working hard to maintain that loss. No one says squat about my size or weight loss anymore. After four year, everyone is used to seeing me at a normal size. Period. I for one am happy that the questions have stopped and I am just who I am. It's my new normal is all and for that alone, I am so grateful. I will keep that in mind for the future. Thanks. I can see your point of view on this. I expect curiosity from others. However I did not expect the comment to not loose anymore weight at the current weight that I am. I'm sure some people will become jealous as well.

@@Treadmillwalker The second co-worker knows that I have changed my eating and have been working out. I became lactose intolerant and gluten sensitive. So she is aware that my diet is restrictive in that respect. She is also aware that I love swimming and do so every morning for 30 minutes before work 5 days a week. She is 5ft 2 and is about 127 pounds and has an exercise regime. The talk of exercise always comes up with her. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

SIPS / SADI-S LOOP DS SUPPORT

I just had a revision from a 2011 VSG to SIPS on Aug 8. I am down 24 pounds so far. I have a 300 cm common channel. The weight is coming off slower this time but I knew that it would be this way going in. I'm pleased withy results so far. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

SIPS / SADI-S LOOP DS SUPPORT

I loaded up on Water every chance I got. I especially had difficulty in the evenings. That's when I ate sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles. I remember giving them to my step son at bed time instead of water when he was younger. It helped keep me from being so hungry. At least I had that in my stomach before I tried to go to sleep. The two week diet is the hardest. The one thing you have to keep reminding yourself is that it's only temporary. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

  20. I am so glad that you are feeling so much better and that your body is adjusting. I'm doing a lot better these days myself. I actually am beginning to experience some constipation. I began taking a liquid supplement by Bluebonnet called Calcium Magnesium Citrate Plus Vitamin D3. It helps me tremendously by keeping me regular and soft. I take it every evening along with my evening Vitamins and medications. I have progressed to solid foods and have found that some things don't agree with me as the once did. I used to love Peanut Butter. I have found that now it's too sweet and too oily. I can't stomach red meats either. Carbmaster has a new low carb smoothie that I tried today and it didn't sit well. I think the smoothie was too thick. I can still eat Carbmaster low carb yogurt with a scoop of added Protein. As of this past Monday 29AUG16 I started going back to the YMCA so I could swim in the early mornings. Well.. I started off doing Water aerobics for thirty minutes and swimming for ten minutes before I got tired. I have been going every day this week and have been increasing my endurance. I now do water aerobics for twenty minutes and swim for twenty minutes. When I get cleared by the surgeon I will begin to add some light weight lifting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so I wont loose all on my fat free muscle mass. I will see him in two more weeks. I must say that my weight loss has been considerably slower. My surgeon had prepared me by informing me that the weight loss would be slower than before. I just need to relax and let the process work no matter how long it takes. I'm not competing with anyone just my preconceived ideas of how this should work for me. I'm glad that you did read my response and know that I am here if you need me. Truthfully I need as much support as I can get especially since this is a revision and I am deathly afraid of failing!!. So please keep me posted of your progress as well. I really appreciate knowing that there is someone else on this board who has a similar background as I do. I don't feel so alone anymore. Thanks

    DS log book

Don't worry it will come. The anesthesia can create brain fog. They had to catheterize me for the first day and then I wasn't until later on the second day that I could pee on my own. Your whole body is trying to wake up slowly. I'm glad you are doing well. Tomorrow should be better. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

Good luck today! I think you have a good idea updating this thread and keeping yourself accountable. I am blogging in a different app about my daily Vitamins intake and have a main goal to take my vitamins continuously for 30 days and shorter goals for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and 4 weeks. Hope your surgery goes well and you recover without any complications. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

  25. I don’t know what to expect or have many answers to your questions because I am in the exact situation as you are but I am able to provide some support. I hope this will help… I was sleeved July 2011 and at a weight of 315 pounds. I got down to 180 pounds by December 2013. I began having severe asthma problems in Aug of 2014. Over the course of little over a year from Aug 2014 to February 2016 I was required to have monthly steroid injections in order to control my asthma. I was not able to exercise adequately without having an asthma attack. I gained weight rapidly. Within that time I ballooned back up to 260 pounds. March 2016 my asthma doctor put me on my “miracle injection” NUCALA and my asthma is now totally controlled!! On 8/8/2016 I had the intestinal portion of the SADI-S completed with a different surgeon and just like you my sleeve was still in good shape and needed no revision. I am the first patient that my doctor has performed the SADI S Loop on and he really does not have reference to go by. I will be his first reference going forward. I agree with you, this "intestinal" revision is NOTHING like getting sleeved. I also have NO issues with drinking, swallowing, topping off, or stomach restriction associated pains. Since the sleeve portion was done previously my surgeon is allowing me to progress through the food stages sooner that someone who just had a DS or sleeve. At two weeks, Aug 19, I was progressed to soft foods. In two more weeks I can progress to full foods. I am taking this time slowly. I am sensitive to certain drinks and foods. I have to eat slowly and pay close attention to my body in order to gauge if I can eat or drink things. Smells, textures, and certain foods and drinks will make me nauseous. Protein drinks give me HORRIBLE gas. I have a daily potty bout. Every time I introduce something new into my diet I make sure I am at home just in case I need to make a mad dash for the potty. My surgeon told me that some individuals who have had the SADI S Loop repot less frequent smelly flatulence and some constipation. I have yet to experience that part. He explained that it is due to the length of the inessential tract that has been left. I am currently on the same caloric restriction as I was when I had my VSG years ago. The only difference has been my length of time on liquids and soft foods. In order for me to adequately loose I my calories will need to remain around 1000 and I will need to exercise daily. I don’t have any idea what the future holds as far as when we progress to foods with complex carbs in them. I personally am so afraid of winding right back at 250 that I don’t plan on introducing them back in. Don’t get me wrong, I love chocolate CAKE. But this time I plan on cooking a low carb cake for the family instead of buying and eating the one from Fresh Market. Congratulations on your revision. It is totally scary but we can do this!!!
