I began my journey July 18, 2011 when I was 316 pounds and had a VSG. My journey has been difficult and after loosing 120 pounds I began to regain weight the end of 2013. I have sever asthma that was poorly controlled and had to take steroid shots and pills every month for a year. By the time my asthma was finally under control I was back up to a weight of 270 pounds. I consulted Dr. Blaney January 28, 2016 and told him that I wanted to have a Duodenal Switch. He suggested SADI/SIPS instead. I decided to conduct my research and found that there is not much information about the long term effects of SADI/SIPS and that it is relatively new. I trust my doctor and decided to be his first SADI/SIPS patient. I believe in this procedure and know that this will work for me!!
