I decided to have Lapband last year (2008) after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with BC.  A person who is over weight has a higher risk.  After treatment whick inlcuded chemotherapy and radiation therapy, I decided to have Lapband to help me lose wieght and see some results.  I have tried other weightloss methods.....over and over again.  It seems that I would work really hard to stick to a diet or exercise program, but not see any progress.  I would get discouraged and give up.  Lapband had been different.  I see the results and that encourages me to keep working harder!!
