My kids are grown, so it is only my husband. He has been cooking his own meals (I'm only 2 weeks out) He is doing well in the kitchen. -
After 2 weeks of trying every Protein drink I found one I liked! I can't believe it. I even made my husband taste it. I said it tastes like pudding, he said it tastes like fudge bars. It is thicker than any others I have tried and was surprised that I liked it that thick. The others I was adding skim milk to thin them down. Pure Protein shakes are now on my daily menu!

I just had yogurt and cottage cheese so far, smooth sailing so far. The baby spoons help a lot. I was a huge food guzzler. Happy to hear you are feeling so well. Since its fresh in your mind, how did switching from clear to all liquids to purée go?? How has everything gone? I hope I feel as good as you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Pure Protein 23grams protein 120 calories 1gram sugar 0 fat These are the ones in plastic bottle They also make ones that come in cans with 35 grams protein,. I haven't tried those. I got mine at Shoptrite but just ordered a case on line.

PLEASE call your Surgeon tomorrow!!!! This is not normal! Which part the pain or the blisters? I called today and he put me on Benadryl and see him tues. -

5 datys out and I hear you. I have pain for almost every swallow I have taken since day 1. Everytime I swallow I get a pain like it is fighting through gas bubble that explodes once the liquid hits. Now I have HUGE blisters all over my body that burn like fire. Regrets yes -

My dr allows it but he said a lot of people have issues with it. my guess is from the amount of acid. im not at that stage yet. -

Im 5 days post op. No pain meds, I get winded pretty quickly even from a little walk. It hurts when I swallow anything ,but it is getting less and less. Not so tired because im really not doing anything, My only issue is an allergic reaction to something I think it is the Zofran and now I have blistery welts that hurt like a bastard all over me, -

Born and raised in Brooklyn, then NYC, now NJ for 2 more years then back to NYC. I am not a NYr now but will always be at heart!Will be back in NYC in 2 years. . Had surgery 5 days ago and not having such a great time. I now have painful blisters all over my body due to an allergic reaction. Mind if I hang with the NYrs? -
I am one day ahead of you and came home today. Not having such a great time. I hope your first day home will be pleasant. I am glad to haave others going throgh same phase as me.

Had sleeve and hernia surgery on Tuesday. had to stay in hospital an extra day because I couldn't swallow without being in huge pain. Still very painful when have to swallow anything. It takes me 1 hour to get one pill down. I have sharp pain whenever I swallow I little piece. Is this all normal? I'm a little scared. Thanks

I have Tylenol with codine, but the thought of swallowing it makes me want to cry. I have no nausea just pain swallowing. The pain isn't immediate it is after it goes down a bit. I am glad you are feeling better. -

I've told a few people.. husband, daughter, 1 sister, bestfriend at work, a friend who had band, and another friend who is going to have sleeve in spring. It is none of anyones business what I do to my body medically. I do not ask what medical procedures others have, do you?
