Dr. Bradley Marker. My wife had her surgery the same day with him as well.

I don't know about the nicotine test. They drew blood during surg prep. If they ran the test, they ran it from that. The surgery itself was nothing. I was sore, but not much pain. The only time I used my pain pump was when my back (pinched nerve) hurt so bad from lying in bed and I wanted to go to sleep. My appendectomy 24 years ago was much worse. I was uncomfortable in the left shoulder from the gas, so I was up and walking a few hours after surgery. I didn't want to eat or drink afterwards which made the leak test where you fill up on a liquid miserable, but doable. With the weight loss since surgery, my back pain has all but disappeared. We moved residence recently and I would not have been able to do that without severe back pain a year or two ago. I would do the surgery again in a heartbeat. My quality of life has greatly improved. You go thru brief phases where you feel regret or depression that you can't eat like everyone else. So expect those, it's just your mind coping with the changes. Think about the benefits your getting. I'm off blood pressure medicine and GERD medicine. It's more than worth it. Best wishes, and good luck!

We emailed them to the insurance liaison at the weightless office ,so we named the photo file by the year it represented. The lady at the office submitted to insurance. I don't know if she changed anything before submitting.

We have BCBS of AL. My wife and I had the surgery together. I was missing one year of medical records and she was missing two. We submitted photos for the missing years and were approved in about a week.

My wife and I will be having surgery August 31st, with Dr. Marker. We are on day 4 of the liquid diet. It's been a lot of hoops to jump thru, but the goal is in sight. The staff at the weight loss clinic and Dr. Marker's office have been great. We go for our last appointment with him tomorrow. This liquid diet has been the hardest thing, but I think I've finally gotten it figured out. I really don't like the Bariatric Advantage shakes, and they've gotten very hard to get down, but they are thicker and do keep me feeling fuller longer. At least after tomorrow, I'm over the half way point. It really helps hearing good things about everyone else's experiences at Flowers. It calms some of the butterflies.
