This May Be Crazy, 15 Months Out And Im Still Afraid To Eat Salad...a Friend Of Mine Had Eaten Some And Had To Get Unfilled Caused It Didnt Go Down, I Guess She Didnt Chew Good...so Now That Frightens Me!!!

First off Welcome aboard!! As far as for me...negatives...non that i can remeber...the only thing that sticks out for me was I got a little sick the first night I went home from the anesthesia (dont know how to spell!) you know the stuff they put you to sleep with....it only lasted a couple of hours and then i was fine.I didnt even have to take pain medicine..I felt a little swollen the next couple of days, but overall felt fine. I got to stay overnight, so I didnt go home till day 3....Im happy, so far no complications and very thankful. it was different adjusting, and most of my problems was dealing with the mental part of the adjustment... Goodluck with everything and keep us posted.

I believe people loose focus on what the board is for...we should be here to give advice, suggestions, support...and not everyone is going to agree with everyone....if so we would live in a perfect world and we all know that this world is NOT perfect....can't we all just agree to disagree sometimes... but the poeple that want to be here will and the ones that dont will not, we are all still here for one another and that should be just as important!!! for me personally I like to see/hear other's opinions and see what they have to say but i DON'T take it to heart by no means cause if you do, you will be one of those to step away from the board...

Hi, I have been dragging butt here lately... I need some help/advice on what I can do to boost my energy level...when I get home from work I just dont have the energy to go workout and I really want to keep this incorporated into my everyday life. Do I need to eat something different? I get plenty of sleep, so any help would be lovely!! thank you :faint:

Trimspa didnt keep me from eating either.....you dont find many "stars" that havent had something done to enhance the figure,face, etc.. i guess if you have the money...why not!!

I had my surgery done on thursday and went back to work Monday....I was a little swollen i felt like, but other than that i didnt even use the pain medication they prescribed me. I had an awesome recovery. I hope the same for you as well....

Keep Your Head Up Crazykelibee....for Me I Lost The First 60 Lbs Very Fast Within I Would Say 6-8 Months Maybe Even Quicker, Now Is When Im Really Trying To Learn How To Eat Better And Do It The Right Way And Now Im Losing Slower.....good Work Though.

I too was banded by Dr. Spivak, I actually didnt check any other doctors because when I went to the seminar and spoke with him I was satisfied with everything. I did self pay and I can see the amount has grown..I paid 12,500.00 for my surgery with one year fills included....I was banded November 2004. I am very pleased with Dr. Spivak and all of his staff. I actually went for my latest fill in January 2006 and it is amazing how professional all his staff can be, but they are also interested in how you are doing with everything.

Loving the band too.....im down to 218...thought i would never say that in my whole life..good job everyone!

Hello everyone, This is my first visit to the site. I have been banded for 1 year on November 21st...I am down about 60lbs, and just recieved my 4th fill........my doctor was Dr. Hadar Spicak, Houston, Texas.... I am 28yrs old starting weight 296 im 5'7 now weighing 235 and dropping!!! Good luck on your surgery!! You will not regret it.....I too was only sore for about 2-3 days and really I didnt even use pain medicine for it.....it was tolerable....I was swollen for 3-4 days, or at least i felt swollen!!! haha take care
