WOW!!! congratulations and Im happy to hear you are doing well. I still debate on whether or not I will go thru with plastic surgery or not....so far not alot of extra skin, but who knows when i finish...plus the boobie!! I would love to have slightly bigger/firm boobies, but I just dont know...we'll see.....what do they have the drains for??? I hope I am not the opposite of some cause the lapband was nothing for me, so Im worried I would be a baby with PS.......AHHH....unfortunatly I have had several surgies before so I dont know if that has anything to do with it...the worst I ever remember is my tonsils when they were removed..I was six and I can still remeber the pain...aweful!! take care and keep us informed...

Hello all,,,,,, My question...I know everyone is different when it comes to the "sweet spot" fill....butttttttt.....here is my dilema.....I went for another fill back in March and Dr. fill me another .5 cc's ....so that put me at 2.5 total...well for a week or so I literally couldnt do anything more than liquids...so that worried me....well went back for a slight unfill and they brought me down to 2.3cc.......well I feel like i can basically eat anything if i chew properly....is that mean I found my "sweet spot" ?????? what is your thinking on this????

Im self pay as well! My fills are 150.00 but my first year was free....Its hard to say what would be good for you, cause its such an individaul thing...Me and my friend both have it and I had 4 fills my first year and she had two...so it just depends....whatever you decided DONT get overfilled cause of the drive.....Overfill SUCKS (excuse my language) but its ruff...been there done that.....its not a happy way of living.....for me i can get adjusted perfectly under fluro and go home and the next day be too tight, so we have come to figure with me that when he gets it to a perfect fill he takes a nidge out........good luck and I hope you dont get too excited and ask for too much.....

Josette, welcome! Yes I can feel your pain.....when i decided to go with the lapband, i was fortunate enough to get my surgery date the following week, so needless to say i didnt have much time, but I did have my share of "last meals" so to speak..... You will be thankful when you are in lapband world...the change is wonderful, can be hard at first especially with the mind "retraining" at least that was the hardest part for me..surgery was simple, no pain, no gas, nothing, i did get sick from the anthesia though....other than that sailed thru it like nothing...good luck and welcome to the "gone for good club".... oh and yes the candy note....YES,,,what a sign!!!

for me personally, weight has been an issue allll of my life and I am only 29..I was determined to do something, Ive tried every diet known to mankind..even did the Quick Weightloss program.....I chose the lap band first off cause of how much less invasive it is...and it seems to be safer with the body still able to get enough vitamins to have children...my cousin had the RNY and loves it...she is only 26....I do know if the lap band didnt work for me and I had to get rid of it or change it I would....I love my band, but at this piont in my journey Im not ready to go at this alone, that is how I came to be overweight....The lapband is a GREAT tool, personally speaking I would go with the band, but it is a personal decision no one can tell you to how to make.. I do believe if you dont use either surgery as a TOOL to help you anyone can gain your weight back.....you have to be willing to make adjustments with either surgery.... do your research and ask lots of questions......good luck with your de

Hello all, Im still looking for a good nutrionist to help me to learn how to eat better. BUT....I have been kicking butt at the gym the past 3 weeks and I dont know if it is just catching up with me or if Im not getting in enough food or nutrition for how I have been working out. Im not new to lap band but Im new to doing it the right way.....Just when I think Im doing good something happens....sooooo I dont really count all my calories just yet, but I do try to stay concsious with what I intake, I dont know if I am being way to strick or what.....can someone give me advice? the reason for this post is cause last night at the gym I felt very lightheaded again and weak, my trainer did ask me if I was eating enough, but If i dont know what do I say..... example of what I would do for a daily meal. Hot tea, or hot chocalate...sugar free Advantage Protein drink- chocolate or strawberry two rice cakes- Breakfast fruit cup-light syrup or a bannana lunch- Soup...tomato, chicken noodle, or vege soup yougrt, if i have room snack- Protein Bar dinner- soup again...or I did do fish and black eyed peas the other night.. I just was adjusted on thursday 3-2-06, so Im just now back on normal foods.....
