Hi all. I'm new here and scheduled for RNY on 8/25. Your posts have been so encouraging and helpful. Starting to get a bit overwhelmed and just ready to get it done with already. LOL.

I pamper the crap out of myself before a major surgery. You are worth it, it will make you feel better and give you something else to focus on for a while. Put some music on, take a bath with lavender oil in it, give yourself a pedicure and manicure or better yet, go get one. If you have never used therapeutic grade lavender oil it can really help keep you calm and relaxed. I just learned that trick recently after plastics when I was overwhelmed with itching and burning. It really does help relax you.
