My weight has fluctuated really since my late teens. I was diagnosed with Polycycstic Ovary Syndrome at 18 & since then it's been an ongoing battle really. I then was diagnosed with endometriosis at 19 which meant I struggled with certain food types & with anything physical. In 2012 (when I was 22) I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which has completely restricted me in all parts of my life. My weight has increased significantly & I've tried albeit unsuccessfully to lose it ever since to no avail. I decided to seek help from a weight Managment team after trying medication in 2014 & after trying alongside Dieticien's & a support network I still haven't really managed to get much weight off. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea in 2015 & since starting CPAP therapy my sleep has improved slightly. I was referred for bariatric surgery in June 2016 & I am meeting my surgeon for the first time on 16/08/2016. I found this site through researching for good support networks to try to gain more information & help me stay on course. I really hope that with WLS & the WL that (should) follow my health may improve even slightly! Here is to hoping.
