    I survived!

Congrats! I use the MIO drops to give the water a touch of flavor.

    Psych Eval Worries

Psych eval was no big deal. 15 minutes of talking and then took a long survey. Nothing to stress over.
  5. I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm very happy with my sleeve, and my weight has been dropping like a rock. I was taken off my medications for diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Everything has normalized. Hopefully you'll get the same result.

    Vitamin patches?

I too am using them. My labs came back perfect. I don't have another set of labs for a few more months. My nutritionist said the verdict is still out on them. That some of their patients they work quite well for and others come back deficient. Mine just happened to be good. I'm curious if it has to do with patch placement and the use of oils and lotions. I use neither and put it on my arm where you would normally get a shot.

    Medications after sleeve

My PCP removed all meds after my surgery except the antidepressant. Haven't had any issues with my dosage.
  11. I was sleeved on September 2nd. I shoot for 800 cals a day and my carbs are usually under 30g. Some days it's difficult for me to get in 800 but that's my goal. Diligently track your macros and stick to your surgeons plan and you'll do fine.

    What do you tell them?

I'm an open book. When people ask I tell them. Lucky for me the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Best decision I've ever made.

    Ten months of work

You're rocking it! Keep it up!

    Shoe size?

It happens to some, I went from a 12 to an 11. I told my wife that I didn't think you could lose weight in your feet and never thought my feet looked fat. She said she always thought they looked swollen. Guess it's because I lived with them that I didn't notice.

Advancing your diet- on your own

I stuck to the plan. Sometimes it sucked and I wanted something more "substantial". Especially during the puréed stage. But I kept it in mind that this part was only temporary and to ensure I healed properly and let my body get adjusted to the changes I persevered. There's light, you'll be on to solids before you know it.

    Best thing I ever did

Awesome! I came off my meds immediately after surgery. So nice not having to put those chemicals in our bodies.

    Nut & Psych Eval

My psych was 10 minutes of talking and 30 minutes filling out a survey.

    SF popsicles

Mine makes all kinds of noises but sugar free popsicles are me favorite now! My wife just gives me funny looks and giggles when that happens.

I have a desk job too, took two weeks off and was quite ready to return to work when I did.

    Failed surgery

That sucks, I'm sorry! Hopefully they have some other options for you.

    So ready!

    Congrats!! You sound well prepared!
  23. My wife has been my biggest supporter. But I didn't keep my surgery a secret and was very open with why I wanted to do it. I have found support everywhere, from my coworkers, family, and even some strangers that I run into. Feels like everyone is pulling for me!
