What about rny? Not as drastic as ds but a bit more effective than the sleeve. I weighed 281 at my Rny surgery on 8/8/16 I now weigh 204. That's a 77lb. Loss in less than 5 months. I needed to lose about 140 to 150lbs. I'm half way there. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Something you wish you knew prior to bypass surgery that you know now?
deb2571 replied to erica2185's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
The constipation was terrible until I started soft foods. Take whatever laxative your surgeon recommends and stool softeners too. For me it lasted for the first month then it got better. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App -

deb2571 replied to CherCare's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I looked similar to that. Not quite as bad but close in the same area. It will take about a month for that bruise to go away. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App -
I'm your age too. I chose Rny because I had acid reflux and because Rny is the gold standard. I wanted the dumping aspect as well. I needed to lose about the same amount of weight as you. I've lost 72 lbs since my surgery 4 months ago. I'm about half way to my goal. I have had no complications so far. The best decision I ever made. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
