    Depression

I take Zoloft to manage my depression I find I have harder days when I'm in a funk getting a little exercise gives me a boost. Anything to keep you busy keeps your mind from getting in a trend of the downward spiral. No matter if that's just taking a drive, coloring in my adult coloring books, or having a good conversation with someone close to me. Also writing really helps you get to the root of many burdens on the soul. Your alright. Your going through a big change and you can't always have smooth sailing spiritually- just don't break down and live there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    VSG BMI 33 from saudi

I'm not sure how requirements differ from the states to there, so be sure to follow up with your surgeon about where you need to be. Here you need to have a bmi of 40 or 35 with two major comorbiditys. I wish you a world of success! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Curious Question?

I'm not far enough out to say for sure. But I think that is the point of doing this is to not forget. This is supposed to be a life time commitment and I hope I never "forget" why I made this choice it'll keep me on track in the long run. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Thinking About Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Hi! For me personally I haven't had any trouble with vomiting and no trouble with GERD. My transition was fairly easy and enjoyable. I'm becoming more active with each passing day and I feel the fire in my soul stoking back to life. I'm so grateful for having done this. As for cons I wasn't a fan of the clear liquid diet but that's such a tiny fraction on the journey it seems incredibly insignificant to even mention. Gas pain is rough too but again these things are a tiny fraction of the benefits I've experienced in doing this. I'm so happy I made this leap for myself. I was sleeved November 7th And I am down 35 pounds definitely not too shabby. I wish you the absolute best in wherever you go in life. You are beautiful! Pre-op liquid diet and hospital bag

Congratulations! I'm going to be honest with you the clear liquid diet sucks. I was a real sour bitch for the first couple of days. Some days are easy and some aren't. It's definitely a massive adjustment but always keep your eyes on the prize and you will make it. As for my hospital stay I packed my slippers a fuzzy robe and my cell phone and a tooth brush and I was so out of it on day one that I didn't care about my cell phone in the least or brushing my teeth. Less is more chances are your not going to need a lot of stuff for your stay. OH! And pack chap stick. That's my one thing I wish I would've remembered my poor lips were like the texture of beef Jerky while I was there lol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Anyone who does not count calories? Ever?

I felt that way when I first began my journey and like keeping track of everything would be a pain. But I found once you get into the habit it's not so bad. Once in the morning I sit down and decide what I'm going to eat and log it into the app I use to keep me on track. It has made eating less stressful for me and made it easier to stay on track. I wish you success no matter which route you take ultimately it is about what works best for you and your success and that's so subjective. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Onederland!

Heck yes! That's so cool congrats I was sleeved November 7th and I am one pound away from being under 200. 5 away from being the weight I lied about on my drivers license lmao. The weight is killing me! I want to jump on the scale more then my regular once a week to see if I made it yet patience is not my strong suit. Seriously congratulations that's so awesome Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Post surgery according to my calculator I am on average at 480 which is pretty low. I believe the recommended intake is 800 to 1200 a day for weight loss. And maintenance 2000 for an active individual. These are super general outlines and it varies from person to person and level of physical activity. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I say go to the doctor and cover all your bases. Honestly if there is any question on your mind it's important you do this for your own peace. I personally have issues with my thyroid and that had been my "normal" until I was diagnosed. So many things effect your body composition, your success depends on you nourishing and helping your body in any way possible. Also losing weight impacts your body so much so don't assume the worst. Your Dr. Can help you with your success I would venture to say better then any one of us can. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Getting dehydrated anyone else can relate

I purchased a 64 oz Water bottle from amazon for like 20$ I always keep a glass nearby and can make it through in 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not saying I always make it through the entire 64 oz a day but having a full glass near by definitely makes me more prone to drinking it. I also really like the ice tea crystal light! When did you start loving your sleeve?

I loved it before I had it honestly I knew why I was doing it don't ever lose sight of that. I've been pretty damn uncomfortable a few times but at the end of the day don't lose your sense of excitement because it'll be SO worth it. It's tough adjusting to such a major lifestyle change no matter what it is, but unless real change needs to be attained we never make that leap. Keep your head up, change your mind. You can do this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

4 days post opp/ extreme hunger

The first week was horrid for me. I was hostile and salty through the whole thing because I was so damn hungry. You'll feel better soon it's hard doing the whole clear liquid diet thing. Once you get to eat something with more substance you'll feel so much better. Hang in there, girl! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Addicted to My 600 pound life.

I have a deep seeded obsession with hoarders and intervention. Makes me feel more normal I suppose lol. I figure generally they go on the tele and share their stories to get a hand up/ out (depending on the person). In turn I get to feel like I'm not a complete nut for 45 minutes. Lol well that's enough of me for the day I'm off to therapy . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
