I WAS BANDED 01/15/08...FIRST FILL 02/26/08...I THINK I MAY HAVE FELT SOME RESRICTION, BUT I THINK IT WAS REALLY BECAUSE I WAS A LITTLE SORE. ITS BEEN A FEW WEKK SINCE MY FILL, BUT I REALLY DONT FELL LIKE I AM FEELING WHAT THEY SAID I WOULD FILL. I LIVE 100 MILES FROM MY SURGEON, SO ITS NOT THE MOST EASY THING TO STOP-DROP AND DRIVE...I STILL HAVE A 11 YEAR OLD AT THE HOUSE AND WE HAVE TO BE THERE FOR HIM. BUT I DO LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT FILL. THEY KNOW HOW I AM FEELING, AND THEY WANTED ME IN SOONER, BUT MAYBER THEY WILL GIVE ME JUST A LITTLE EXTRA. THIS FILL, I WILL HAVE TO STAY ROUND LONGER 2 TO 3 HOURS..AND THEY I WILL HAVE TO DRINK SOME STUFF AND THEY WILL SEE HOW IT GOES DOWN... SO I LOOK FORWARD TO IT HOOVER IN PC BEACH FL.

Kat817, WOW, you have really been thru ther ringer, by the sounds of it!!! I sure hope the best for you. I am sure that was a hugh scare for you, and your family. I have had thyroid issues since '92, but the meds they had me on, normally kept my levels where they should be...but since I started the dieting, and after I had lost some weight, it seems like my levels take dives.....up and down....I guess it is just frustrating... But thanks for the info. and I will keep you in my prayers, hoping you will stay healthy... I know that is what I want.....Good Health Again , Thanks DHoover

POST OP...Surgery was 01/15/08. Lapbander!!!! I too, have thyroid problems. Hypothyroid!!! And my levels are jumping all over the place, before and now after the surgery, i have been on 4 different strengths of meds...Just had blood work on 02/18/08 and my levels are almost nothing. on Jan 16, 2008, levels of TSH was 49.82, meds were in creased, and on Feb 18, 2008 TSH levels were .04...Go figure, so meds were decreased....Seems like a cat and mouse game. as anyone else had this problem, and if so, does it correct itself? I know that I would always gain weight when my levels were low, before the surgery, so I am sure this will hinder my weight loss too. I go for my first fill on 02/26/08..so I look forward to talking to my surgeon. Any one out there have any suggestions Desperate in PCBch Florida

Biggrin2, Thanks for the info on the "fill" and also on the "SHOUTING" I am a newby, still learning the ropes...I am very excited with my lap band. I really look forward to a new life. All my family is supportive and friends are in awe! My surgeon is Jeffery Lord at Sacred Heart in Pensacola Fl. I live in Panama City Beach, so its a hundred mile trip one way....We have no doctors that specialize in this surgery.....yeah, some would perform it, but I didn't feel comfortable. So I try to obtain any and all information I can. So any advise is appreciated! oh, by the way, congrats..and again...THANKS!
