I finally got approval and my surgery date. It is October 3rd. Will start pre op diet (any tips greatly appreciated) Sept 23rd after pre op visit. I am so excited but nervous. My brother just had it done in June and he has lost 40 lbs. Any of you have any regrets? I am a nurse myself and we are the worst patients. LOL... Anyway wish me luck! Not really, my dr requires full liquid for 10days. Meaning clear broth, sugar free Popsicles, sugar free Jello, and the Bariatric shakes that you buy from them. I'm just gonna suck it up for 10 days. I am so frustrated. I have everything completed to have my weight loss surgery and my doctor will not give me medical clearance because he says my BP is still too high. Has any of you every experienced this. I mean I need to lose the weight to regulate the blood pressure, right. I am taking my meds and have done everything he said. My labs are good.
