Thank you both for the information. One last question, are you all still sticking with the meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus mid-morning & mid-day snacks. Are just the main meals?

Good morning all! I am looking to see if anyone has gone thru the same thing as I am now. So I had my sleeve surgery in Jun 2016 weighing in at 255. After the surgery, I lost down to 135 within the first 2 years because I was very strict in staying below 20 carbs daily and working out. After the 2 years though, I was getting to a point where my face looked sunken and I just felt like I definetly didn't want to lose anymore. The problem was that by sticking to my diet, I kept losing a few pounds each week. So I started to add more carbs back slowly. Over the last year though, I have gained about 15 pounds. I now am planning to go back to my orignial diet to try and lose the weight. Did anyone have any issues with weight gain? If so, were you able to get back on track and lose weight? I'm just worried that my body won't get back into that mode of losing weight like it was after the surgery. Any suggestions? Thank you all!

Thanks, these are some really good ideas that I will have to start using. I love that they are simple too.

Baby girl pa, thanks. I very rarely skip a meal but there had been a few times that I did. I do drink 1 protein shake a day; 1/2 in the morning & half in the afternoon for 30 grams of protein.

You definitely need more protein. I have a hard time eating all the required protein so I drink 1 premier already made shake a day. It has 30 grams of protein in it. Imy able to drink half in the morning and half in the afternoon. If you can'talk do that then you could break it up to drinking the 12 ozs over 3 times ( 1/3 in the morning, afternoon, and evening).

Hello everyone, so I'm 3 months post op. The biggest challenges that I'm having now is making myself eat. I'm never hungry at all but I know I need to eat. Also, needing more ideas for foods & meals to cook. I feel as if I eat chicken 4 days a week. Lol Any suggestions???? What do you do for lunch? Thanks for any help.

Travelher, thank you for the encouraging words. I hope that your sugery went well and things are going good for you. Higher, after reading these replies I'm going to just be happy thato I'm losing the weight. I do drink a few ounces of Protein still for a snack in the am & pm. Still trying to get in more than 2 ounces of protein at a time. Thinking it's just going to take time. KR1920, I had a stall early on within weeks of my surgery that lasted about 3 weeks so hopefully your weight loss will start back up. Just keep at it. Thanks again everyone!

Good afternoon everyone! I had my surgery on June 30 and am now 3 months out. My surgery weight was 247 and I'm now down to 205, so I've lost 42lbs so far. I feel as if this isn't that much weight in 3 months and that I should be losing more weight than this. What do you think? Also, I'm being told my the nutritionist that I should be eating 3-4ozs of Protein at my meals but I'm still having a hard time with this. I can normally eat between 2-3ozs before I start having hiccups which to me is a sign I'm done. Having a hard time figuring out my eating? I've been going to the gym 5 times a week. I feel as if I'm on another plateau because I'm not losing weight. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Hi everyone, this is my 1st posting here; I'm new on this support group. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on 30Jun16. My highest weight was 258 and I weighed 247.7 the day of surgery. Within the first 14 days I had lost 16lbs which I was happy about. I didn't have any issues with the liquid diet and didn't feel any cravings. The problem I'm having is since I started my puree foods on the 15th day, my weight has stalled. I will go down a pound and then up a pound so I'm weighing exactly what I weighted at the 2 week mark; still not having any cravings. Has anyone else had this issue? If so what did you do? I'm following exactly what the nutritionist said I should do, so I'm so confused. Would like any help.
