February 8th sleevers, heck everyone getting sleeved next week....

For me, it was mostly background for Anesthesia, some blood for Anesthesia, and signing paperwork. Could be different depending on your program and what has already been done. -

My pre-admission testing went very good. I was a little concerned when I saw that my white blood count (WBC) was slightly elevated; however, the surgeon's nurse told me that would not be a problem (I guess I should have figured since it was Anesthesia who order it). There were no surprises. The only thing that is concerning is me is being away from work. Since I have never really taken any time off, I am not certain how it will go. I am sure it will be fine, but that does not stop me from worrying. -
Penn state Milton s Hershey medical center? Ann Rogers?
CJBlanton replied to borderlinebeautiful89's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I wanted to include myself because I haven't seen many comments on Penn State Hershey Surgical Weight Loss, but I haven't had surgery yet. I have just been through the program and met with Dr. Ann Rogers once (I will be meeting with her again on Thursday). I can't really speak to the post-op component yet (I have surgery on 2/8/2017 unless something changes in the mean time), but I link her from our first consultation. At least to me, she comes off as genuine and down to earth. I was following her research and I like her output on that front. I went with her because I was interested in Duodenal Switch, but her reasoning for going with the sleeve instead seemed good. Hopefully, someone who has been through the surgery and post-op will comment.
