I am trying different protein drinks to find something I like (I am not being banded until May 12th). I just got some samples from Unjury and it says to mix with water. That in no way sounds good to me, strawberry water?? My diet sheet says I can have milk upto 1%, is it ok to mix the Unjury with milk instead of water? I just can't stomach drinking this mix with water. Any help would be great!!!!

My moment was after I started fertility treatments for the 2nd time. The first thing the docs would tell me "well if you lost weight this might not be so hard and you would be able to do it without our help". I thought yes I know I need to lose weight but there are people bigger then me having babies. I was trying to lose weight but it was coming off soooooooo slow and I do mean slow...I have PCOS and that can be a side effect (slow weight loss). I am 29 years old so it is time to start thinking about starting a family. When I started thinking I don't want to be 289 and adding weight to that by having a baby. I need to lose this weight so I have a healthy baby and be able to do things with my future children. I have a great support system so I knew it was time to do something. I hope by having this surgery it will allow me to have a baby without the doctors help and I will feel better and be a healthier person. Good luck to all and please keep posting on your progress, it is very encourging for us that thinking about the band or already going through the process. I will be banded on May 12th and I can't wait!!!

May is the best month of all. I will graduate from college on May 10th and I will get banded on May 12th and can't wait. I am so excited to start a new chapter in my life. Good luck to everybody. I know we will all be GREAT!!!!

My wait time has been short. I started the process in January and I will be banded May 12th. It could have been as early March but I wanted to wait until I graduated from college. I don't really have any advice because I haven't been banded, just follow the doctors orders and I think you will fine. My husband has the same feelings as your boyfriend...I don't think he will know what to do when I am thin. I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do. Keep us updated.

Congrats on your date!!!! I will be getting banded on May 12th and I know what you mean about stressing and forgetting something. That is a fear of mine, forgetting something I am going to need! Again congrats!!!!

I know that it can be frustrating but the time will come. One of the best days was when I got my surgery date. Your day is coming and then it will be a lot different emotions. I will be banded in a month and can't wait to be on the other side of the fence. Good luck to you!!!

Hi Tammygirl I to will be banded in Augusta. Dr. Blaney will be doing my surgery. I am waiting to graduate from college before I am having the surgery so I will be getting banded on May 12th. Keep us posted and I hope everything goes well for you!!!!

You might try Zumba. It is fun and not that hard. They also have Zumba classes at the Y so you might want to "try",I know it is hard, to visit if you have one around you and see if you like it before you buy. I have the set from when I went on one of my many diets and I tend to go back to it often. Hope this helps.

I know how you feel. Most people that know are supportive because I think they have seen what I have been through. One of the most important people in my life...my brother...will not speak to me right now because I am having surgery. Hopefully he will see the weight come off and realize this is not a bad thing but a very very good thing. Good luck to you!!!!

I got the call today that I will be banded on May 12th. Not sure what to expect but this could not be coming at a better time. Now if I can just get through this Boston trip I have to go on. I weight about 289 and I am 5'9. Has anyone flown on Air Tran that is around my size lately? Did the seat belt fit? I am so scared about that. My husband is great and has said we will just hold it in place if it doesn't fit. I do not want to ask for a extender. So for now all I can think about is am I too big for the plane?

I saw both of them after my appt. I think it worked out better that way because I already had a good understanding what was going to be expected of me before and after surgery. Good luck to you!!!

Hi I am Holly from Georgia. I will be getting banded on 5/12. I chose to wait until May because I am graduating from college. I guess it is kind of a present to myself. I am 28 and do plan on having children...has any one had a baby after being banded? Is there anything I should know about it??? Thank you so much!!!
