Hello everyone. I have not been here since summer. I have a question- Has anyone had alot of pain near your band or port? Last night we had my work christmas party and it started to hurt. I have felt a little pressure before, but nothing like this. This morning it really hurts. Like my whole right side hurts. I had a fill last monday. Would this have anything to do with this? I hope nothing is wrong. Thanks for any help Leah

Yesterday I received my first fill. It was so simple. This lapband has been great. I only have 1 area I wish was different. My doctor gives you free fills for the first 3 months, then you pay each fill $125. How often do people get fills. What amount of cc do you think I should try to get to - to save on money. I have 5 and a half cc right now. I sure wish they included it with everything. That would be great. If you only needed fills 2-3 times a year that would not be bad, but what if you needed one every month? Please if you have any suggestions let me know. Leah

This is gross- but has anyone had this problem after surgery? I had my surgery last friday, and on tuesday I started with diarrhea(I told you it was gross) and hasnt stopped yet. My doctor is going to have me do a stool sample to make sure I dont have an infection in the bowel. Has anyone ever heard of this? Also when I eat my stomach rumbles for hours later. I hope my body is not rejecting this. Thanks Leah:bored:

Taz, I have had my fibro about the same lengh of time as you. I wonder who picked us for this ridiculous stuff? Food does make you feel better when in pain. We will just have to find a healthy way of eating. I know when I have been on my feet all day at work it feels good to come home and have something to eat and relax. That always makes you feel better for a bit. I get my first fill March 28, so I only have a little restriction. When my doctor places the band he does put some saline in it. Does yours? Since the beginning of this journey I have been trying to find other comfort besides food. Like a hot bath, reading, doing something fun that you like to do. Hope you will feel better soon. Leah

Hi Taz! I also have fibromyalgia. I was banded 2/22/08. I know what you are talking about, but have not felt that way since banding. Where do you have most of your pain? My legs hurt alot, but then again the whole body. Maybe it will feel somewhat better with weight loss. I take ultram for pain. How about you? Leah

Hi Leah, My name is also leah. I was banded 2/22/08. I just had my 2 week appointment today. I was so excited to add some "normal" food. Now I can go out and not look abnormal. I am so excited about this journey. You have done awesome. Take care Leah

Hi! Are there any others who were banded this week? I was banded on Friday Feb. 22 in Michigan. I am feeling really good. Yesterday I had alot of gas and took gasx. It really helped. I am so excited about this journey. I am looking forward to being healthy. It helps to talk to someone who also is where you are. Hope to hear from you soon and good luck. Leah

Hi! My neme is Leah and I am from Michigan. I live in Grant, it is a small town about 45 minutes from Grand Rapids. I was banded last friday Feb.22, 08. I feel like I am always full, thats great. I went to MMPC in Grand Rapids and had Dr. Foote. He was great. They are so professional. I am excited about March 7th getting to add some other foods. That will be great. Hi Smilingsoph! I was banded 5 days ago also. I have not been hungry at all. I am wondering if it is your diet. My doctors have you drink protien 2 weeks pre-op and 2 weeks post-op. Did you have to do this? I dont get anything but liquids until March 7. The protien powder/meals we use are smartfourm. I have a web site somewhere if you would like it. They have great food, soups, hot chocolate, oatmeal, drinks, cappicino, etc, etc. Keep your head up. Leah

I had my surgery on feb.22. A couple of times I have had small sharp pains. Today I have been having bad pains, sharp in my right lower abdomen. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Does it go away? Thanks for any help. Leah

Mommakitty3 My son sees the Muscle milk all the time and says I should try it. My doctor gave me all my food for 2 weeks pre-op and 2 weeks post-op. So I will have to wait awhile. Thanks Leah
