@Lipsticklady. I have no issue with being told to suck it up. I have had 3 ER visits in the last 6-7 weeks only one was from surgery issues, dehydration, And it has been a set back with liquid intake. I am finally finally getting my s@&$ together and am getting Proteins and liquids in. I will admit sf cherry popsicles are the only thing i truely love atm, but can't live off those. Please kick me in the a#& as needed Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App @Lipsticklady. I have no issue with being told to suck it up. I'm almost 7 weeks out and I'm still on pureed foods, also sleeved. I would suggest calling your doctor or nutritionist before doing the salad with only being 3 weeks out. Maybe steaming some softer veggies and blending them smooth to get the Fiber? Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

Things you wish you had known before WLS
dede_mont replied to jodi2727's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was pretty informed with all the information that my B team and the internet had to offer me. I also talked with family and friends who have had the sleeve, so i knew what to expect but I was still thrown by how awful things tasted and how hard it has been to stay hydrated. Anything over ice, blended with ice or frozen has been my saving grace the last week or two. Now i can take larger swallows and my taste are changing again so finally getting my intakes up to pare. I had my sleeve done July 14th when it was in the 110+ here in Las Vegas so gulping by mistake was almost my undoing. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App -
I just bought some Atkins pre-made and am trying it. Its only 15mg of Protein but mixing it with the (unflavored) whey protein i have and serving over ice is pretty good. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

Epidural cortisone injections
dede_mont replied to justmeriii's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was just going to follow and read others stories and experience with this but having just had lower lumber injections (L4-5 S1 fused with cadavers bone and plates) this past Wednesday has me thinking about cancelling the bilateral ones i have scheduled in another week or so. I have so much swelling in my feet and legs, i just assumed it was from the oral steroids im on for something else. I am only around 6-7 weeks post-op and this bought of injections hasnt felt right, again assuming it was other health issue related. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I know my pain management doctor can do an IV push which is nice. Maybe yours does as well? Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App -

Other than drinks/soup, what do you mix your Genepro into?
dede_mont replied to trekker954's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have to ask is it really tasteless? I am looking for a Protein i can not taste. All the others taste like sour milk to me still. I've bought to many types to waste any more money. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App -
Eating certain foods irritate new stomach?
dede_mont replied to michee33's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The one time i tried eggs or cottage cheese, i was hugging the toilet for what seemed like hours. I haven't dared try cottage cheese again but i did try a bite of egg and it was okay. Im staying clear of dairy, it hasn't been kind to me. I have to say silky tofu and hummus are new foods for me this week and im loving it. Good luck Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App -

How often do you weigh yourself?
dede_mont replied to spunkyheather's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weighed myself the first 2 weeks and stopped. I don't care about the weight, i leave that to my doctors and only care because of med changes. I can tell I'm smaller with my clothes and how they fit. I also have my husband take photos of me in the same positions and look at them side by side to see where I'm slimming down. Right now I'm on steroids for an allergic reaction to me meds and so swollen I know if i stood on a scale I would loose it. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App -
I sorted out my closet and got ride of several items that are to big now. Made me feel good tossing my size 28 pants in the goodwill bag. Still not at the stage of buying new. I have loads of clothes in the back of my closet to recycle. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

I have had the same issues but i found if i take a can of tomato Soup or any cream of Soups that i use my emulsion wand to blend smooth, add a scoop of Protein powder and two cans of Water and sip that throughout the day it really helps. I am more likely to drink more water between soup boughts. Hope this helps. Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App
