Hello all. My name is Layne. I recentlly had my lap band surgery in surburban Philadelphia. I posted on this site several months ago but I have been sidetracked. I had my surgery 3-months ago and just recieved my second fill. I have lost > 30 lbs. over 3-months, going from 331 to 297 with an increase in activity and stamina. I am doing well adjusting to my new life but I have not been active in finding support groups even though my local center ( great center / Barix ) offers them due to work schedules. I am gratefull for my surgery and re-birth and gratefull to the members of this site for future conversations. With regards: Layne. P.S.: My girlfriend also recieved her gastric bypass 4-years ago, so I have a support system.

Greetings gentelman: I have been involved in Krav Maga during my time in the service and civilian life. I got banded 3 months ago and I was advised not to be involved in Krav Maga for 6 months. I also injured / had surgery on my knee last year so I fear that I will be out for > 1 year. I advised my band doc. that Krav Maga involves large amounts of grappeling, throws and sparring. I am afraid to jam by port site so I don't know if I will go back. What do you guys think.: Layne.

Congrats on your success gentelman: So, I see that this thread is for men. I got banded 3-months ago and got my second fill last week. I lost > 30lbs., from 331--> 297 ant I feel good. I do have 1 question. My surgeon told me that he has heard of this but he does not have down right proof. During the a.m., when you guys attempt to eat Breakfast, does your bands, for a lack of a better term, feel tight? I can barely get my food down during the a.m. but I am able to eat normally during the afternoon / dinner. So, does the a.m. / just waking up resulting in a tight band? With regards, Layne
