I'm type 1.5 I guess is what they call it now a days and I'm on an insulin pump. Having roux en y on Tuesday! My diabetes will probably never go onto remission however my need for 100 units a day will go down significantly! That makes it worth it to me!! I've had diabetes for 22 years! Was diagnosed at age 11 Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Hi everyone!!! So tomorrow is the day that the office will submit my information to my insurance information!!!!!! This will be my first insurance claim with new insurance as I switched jobs last month! I'm so nervous.....I have a lower BMI (36.4) but I've had diabetes for 22 years, high blood pressure, heart disease with heart attack and pcos...I meet all my insurance requirements except the 5 year weight history of morbid obesity.....office seems optimistic for approval because of my medical history....we have a tentative surgery date of 1/24!!!! Anyone have any familiar situations and have gotten approved without a 5 year history of morbid obesity? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

So, who had their gallbladder out during their bypass? I asked my Dr if he would but he can't unless there is an issue, which makes since but I heard that about 40% off post op bypassers/sleevers go back in a few months due to complications of their gallbladder.....scheduled for an ultrasound on monday....no gallbladder symptoms but hoping there is a little something there to allow him to remove the darn thing Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
