BANDZILLA

I was banded on 12/9/05 and have felt to me what seemed like a perfect restriction since then and have lost 18 lbs. Well I managed to have a severe vomiting episode yesterday and now I have absolutely zero restriction. I even tested myself this morning by eating a large portion of non-food processor breakfast followed by 8 oz. of water right away. It feels like I did before the surgery. I have a bad feeling about what may have happened. I would appreciate any input. Also I need the phone number for Dr. Jessee in Miami. Dave

Dr. De La Garza is an absolutely fantastic doctor and person. The surgery went well and I was most impressed with the facilities at OCA hospital. The staff there treated me like I was royalty or something. The only problem right now is the pain in the port area. Luckily a friend was able to get me a few percocet. I have had no issues with the lingering gas pains in the shoulders. I asked the doctor about it right before the surgery and he told me he uses a minimum of gas in the abdomen to avoid this problem. I am very pleased thus far and now my biggest battle will to fight off the urges to cheat eat. good Lord please give me the strength. Did anyone else have an extended period of port pain post surgery. Is this normal?

Very happy with him and super happy with the staff at OCA Hospital in Monterrey. OCA is a state of the art facility and all of the staff there treated me like I was a guest in a five star hotel. highly recommended.

Wow I made a last minute change to Dr. De La Garza. Same dates but different city. Less than a week to go!

Finally I am taking the plunge. I decided to open the wallet and pay a visit to Dr. Huacuz. Dec. 9th I will fly to Ca. and get banded the same day. I have been doing alot of research and the discomfort afterward has me a bit worried. some patients claim to have terrible pain for 7-10 days. I guess I will have to hope to be one of the lucky ones. dave brooksville, fl

Hey I'm scheduled in MX on 12/9 with Dr. Huacuz and I agree with you-I want to have success too! Some of the slippage stories and erosion stories are a bit scary. But good luck to us both. Dave Brooksville
