Hi, Oh now we are three from Ireland! Awesome! I am two weeks out now and have lost 27pounds (weigh in was on Monday) This is including pre-op weight loss. Had my first puréed meal last night and it went down ok. Had weetabix with added protein powder this morning and I think I had too much as I am struggling with pain now. Will have a protein shake later and some puréed food tonight. I am a fast water too, but going by the 20/20/20 rule and hope it will come naturally at some point 20cent bite size, chew 20 times, then wait 20 seconds before the next bite. Liquids is no issue for me. Was up to 2 litres few days after surgery already. Have zero hunger too. Only eat/drink calories based on the time of the day. On Thursday I have my next appointment with my dietician. Let's see what she will say to my food log. Tracking on my fitness pal as it makes counting protein a lot easier. Oh and started on my vitamins today. -

I found a post that recommended to buy Protein powders with at least 15g of protein in a single serving and less than 5g of sugar and also fat. Hope this helps to find the right one! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Hi all, Had my mini gastric bypass done last Tuesday and will go back to the office on Monday. I was wondering how you guys handled colleagues? Usually spent my lunch break with the same group of people and was wondering if I should tell them about the surgery or not? Surely, they will recognise my tiny portions once I start on pureed food? Also wondering what the best approach is when going to a restaurant? Do you guys tell the servant you had surgery and need a tiny portion or do you bring a plastic container to just put the food in which is in excess of the allowed portion size? Thanks in advance! Hi there, Did your surgery go well? How are you getting on? I had my surgery with Dr. Chris last Tuesday in Belgium and I live in Ireland as well. Would be great to hear how it has been so far? My story is quite similar to yours. Have been struggling for 18 years and gone through many cycles of losing a lot of weight, but then gaining it again. I am on full liquids and it is going quite well. Getting a bit bored of the shakes though as I am on them since 2 weeks pre-op Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
