    Gastritis PRE-op

I'm so excited to have the surgery and start new life long habits and after having it in the back of my mind for a couple of years I finally decided it was what's best for me, so now I have my heart set on it... and so far things have been going well, but the things beyond my control such as insurance approval is making me stressed and nuts lol

    Gastritis PRE-op

How soon is your surgery? I don't think it will delay it unless it's in next few weeks. The Dr will probably order some meds and you should be fine by surgery. Stay away from NSAIDs! Good luck. Let us know what the Dr says! I will have completed all of my requirements for insurance by September 20th and should know if Im approved within a couple of days after that. They told me that with approval then, Im looking at a November/ December surgery. So I have time, but I'm worried something will mess up an otherwise smooth process lol
  3. Hi Everyone, I am half way done with completing my insurance requirements for VSG. Last week I had my EGD and they found I has gastritis. They said it wasn't too bad but could tell I've had it awhile. I'm not showing much for symptoms other than occasional burning feeling in my stomach and a little reflux from time to time. My surgeon hasn't called yet becasue he hasn't received the results form the hospital yet... but will this delay my surgery?? I don't have an offical date yet but I'm worried it will push things back. What is typical protocol? Put me on something for it now or wait until post op? Any "been there, done that" would be very helpful!
