    Stalled WL. Please help!

I'm 10.5 mos out, I'm down 100 lbs, and I need to lose 54 lbs more. I feel like I keep stalling, like right now. Not sure why. I'm so frustrated that I dont even want to eat anymore (I still do). I have discontinued breakfast and went back to premier protein drink. I even spent a half hour literally running laps around the house with my nephew today to get more action in. Any ideas? What have you done to get yourself out of a WL stall? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Daughter of Concerned Mother

Honey there is nothing easy about this and it's possible to go back to your old habits and gain it all back and more. But you're on the right track and in the right place. I wish you all the best. Message me if you need any guidance or help!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I feel the same way. I went from a 22/24 to a 12/14 but I still feel like I'm fat. I feel like the loose skin doesn't help my skewed view of myself and I almost feel like I'm never going to see myself how I really look. I didn't think I was that fat when I was at my highest but I almost NEVER took pics or looked in the mirror either so I was ignorant and oblivious to my size. The one I have on my profile was taken at my sister's wedding and I didn't have a choice. But now I feel the opposite; like I'll never see myself thin even when I am. Alcohol?

I am 10.5 months post op and I can do a glass of wine. I don't do beer anymore at all. Liquor is strange with me because I used to drink before with no problems but I tried a mimosa for my birthday when I was 6 months post op and ended up in the emergency with anaphylaxis. It has totally changed my taste buds, my tolerance for things, and even my allergies to foods and beverages. I drink maybe once a month and i'll have a glass of wine but that's about it. I get no real joy out of drinking hard liquor anymore. I hope that helps!

    Five months out[emoji17]

I'm in the same boat and I'm 9 months. I think maybe I'm not eating enough and getting enough protein. Might look into doing the 30mg protein shakes again or getting a protein supplement of some sort. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Hi Everyone, Just wondering how I fare against others. I'm 6 months out and have lost a total of 70 lbs. (80 counting the 10 lbs I lost on my own before) Still have 84 more to go. I know that everyone is different but I am a numbers person and want to do a general comparison. I havent started to work out yet (joining gym tomorrow) and want to try and hit my goal of 95 lbs by my birthday. Also what have you found to be your most effective weight loss work out regimen? Thank you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

    Weak...no energy [emoji30]

Protein promotes healing. Doc told me to up it and it worked for me. But give your body time to heal as well. Some people heal quicker than others. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

    Post Op Food Woes

I get my 60 by drinking 2 premier Protein shakes. Each has a whopping 30 MG of protein each! They taste great too and come in different flavors. You can get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry at costco. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

    Why did you choose bypass?

I had bypass. I chose it because it has the best rate of success, it helps some of my other existing med problems, and it has the fastest rate of weight loss. I just follow what the docs tell me not to take and not to do and roll with it. No carbs. No NSAIDS. Omeprazole. Vitamins. Done. I am very happy in my choice. My only regret is not having done it sooner. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Excessive Gas and Severe Abdominal Pain

I do and I'm 6 months out but mine come with constipation, as I have IBS with constipation. I didn't know it could be gallbladder. I may ask the surgeon about it then. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

4 months post op almost 5

I'm almost 6 months out and have stalled a couple of times. Each time I notice my Protein intake decreases so I get myself out of it by increasing my protein intake again. I'm going to start working out soon so it should kick start me back to rapid again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

    12-15 surgery question

Yep. I did 2 premier Protein shakes with 30mg of protein in them per day and a bunch of Water (getting all that in was a task in it self-i never got enough water). Lived on that for quite a while! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  15. When was your surgery? I didn't really start to lose until week 4 because of swelling and stuff. I was told to stay as close as I can to 500 calories per day. 500 wasn't enough so I upped to 600-700 and started losing. And I stopped losing rapidly when I didn't take in around 60mg of Protein per day. Doc said protein promotes healing and weight loss. I hope that helps! 16. I'm almost 3 months out and I still feel pulling on the sutures inside. Doc told me it is completely normal. And as far as the stall, you're still healing. I didn't really start to drop until over 2 weeks out (swelling and such can prevent it). I started my 2 week liquid diet on July 18 with surgery on Aug 4 and as of today, I am 2.5 lbs away from being down 60 lbs! Don't worry, you'll get there! I did the same worry thing but quickly learned from doc and people on here that you must be patient and let yourself heal. Also, increasing Protein to at least 60g per day increases weight loss! Get good protein packed shakes. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Post op activity

It took me almost 2 months to be able to intake larger amounts of Water. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  18. I can no longer tolerate chicken, pork, beef or eggs. I tolerate fish and seafood very well but the rest are a no no. I'm entirely fine with it. Doesn't bother me one bit. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Sushi/sashimi?

How many months do you have to wait until you can safely eat sushi/sashimi? I would think it would be a high risk food because it's not cooked. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Anyone eat hummus?

I used to do cucumber but I haven't tried it post op. I'm 2 mos out and can't eat meat yet so I probably should! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Shakes!?!?

Premier Protein. I hate sweeteners too but these I like. They're cheap in a case from costco. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Arm flab issue

I am a month and a week after RNY. I am losing but my arms are just bugging the crap out of me. They're now misproportionately larger than the rest of me and so what fits my body now doesn't fit my arms. Have you done anything that really helped get rid of the arm fat? If so, what? I don't wanna have big muscular arms. Just get rid of the fat. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Problems with chicken?

Slices of raw fish. One lady on here said her team told her it goes down much easier and she tried it and it worked. So I tried it. And yesss. Plus I love sushi so just the raw fish is awesome for me. Not for everyone, of course. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~

    Problems with chicken?

I've only been able to easily keep down sashimi. It's so soft that it stays down. I have issues with getting backed up with everything else. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
