  1. Does anyone else have this problem? I still have to sleep elevated slightly, or I get reflux. Also, after I eat or drink, I get like a "bubble" in my chest right below my throat. It growls, but I can't burp. Normal? Freakish? Also, weight loss is definitely slower this time around...but I feel better than I did post band. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm five weeks post op today, and I've started exercising moderately. I feeling a little discouraged, because I've stalled at just 26 lbs lost. I'm a conversion patient, so I know it's lower, but COME ON! Anyway, back to the meaning of the post. I've started becoming more active, my energy level is good, but for some reason (it's happened twice now, including today) where I guess I did too much, because my body freaks out. This afternoon I wasn't even on the treadmill or anything, I was pruning a large bush in my yard. Might not sound like a workout, but I was sweating for sure. All of a sudden I knew I needed to stop. Just like last time, my hands started shaking and I felt like I couldn't stand for long. Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe I'm dehydrated a little? I drink Water all day long, but it's not like I'm able to gulp it down. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I was banded ten years ago. I was very successful, I lost 125 lbs with the band. Wonderful, right? Except for the bad stuff...the vomiting when something gets stuck, the port bothered me, even ten years later I could lay on my side and it would give me a tweak. Overall though, my surgeon called me a success story. Nine years go by, and I'm staying pretty steady. I've since gotten married, had two beautiful children, and remained around 185 lbs (I was 305 when banded). Then about a year ago I started having acid reflux and I was gaining weight...and fast. I turned to comfort foods, which exacerbated the problem. Finally I went to get a fill, and was told by my surgeon that he doesn't do fills anymore, but if I want to work with Janine(his asst) she is over here at this program. So I go, and I find about about lap revision to sleeve. At this point I've gained 70lbs with no explanation. The surgeon was amazing. On July 13th I was revised from the band to a sleeve and I feel great. And all those people that tell you that this totally different? Absolutely! I wish you all then best!! Drain tube stalling recovery

I had conversion as well, and was given a drain. My doctor took it out for me at five days because I was doing well. Uncomfortable!! But I'm glad it's out. Listen to your doctor....the drain is there to make sure there is no leaking or internal bleeding. Way worse than the discomfort of the drain! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I took one week off, but I have a desk job. The first three days I left early, when I felt exhausted. The. It was the weekend again, so today was my first full day and I felt good (sleeved on 7/13) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had my surgery the same day as you, and I have also lost 6 lbs since that morning. I'm pretty happy about it! This is actually a lap band revision for me, and if I recall properly, the real rapid drop starts in the third week or so. Don't worry! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
