I once Nair'd my arm pits, but I have really coarse hair. I thought, "No problem! I'll just leave it on a little longer." Well, it ate away all of my flesh and left the hair. I second that. I love zinc oxide. Also, tea tree oil is very effective against fungal infections. Trader Joe's has a tea tree body wash that really helps before the barrier cream.
