So I moved to Montana...

What about networking with others who live in places far away from a support group and those who travel regularly and set up a regular Google hangout as a means for a support group? ... It's just a thought -
@@cheneisew you may also want to check with your school and/or professors regarding their make up work policy when it is a medical issue. I know at my university it goes based on the professors, and a lot of professors will allow make up work for that time that you have to be off.

@@AvaFern Thanks for answering this question as I am also in college and had this exact question.

Does anyone know how difficult or easy it is to get approved with Humana Premier H - M - O (apparently it thinks you are cussing if you take out the dashes and the spaces)? Per the booklet I can have WLS but I am unsure of what kind of hoops they are going to put me through. Also if anyone has experience with this particular insurance what was the out of pocket portion because the booklet is very vague but from what I am reading it looks like little to no money except copays (hopefully this is true because the premiums are sky high).

Yes it is @@KristenLe ! @@laura1116 they do have to over Cobra benefits legally as long as the employer had over 20 employees. This is all according to the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act health benefit provisions of 1986. -

@@laura1116 if the company closes down make sure to utilize Cobra coverage, yes it is more expensive but you will be able to keep on the same track without restarting and overall it will be cheaper than paying out of pocket. -
I have a lot of questions and I am sorry if these questions have already been asked but I have been unable to find these answers anywhere on the forums as I have been reading them for the past month. I have done enough research on the forums and have determined that I would rather have VSG over the other types of WLS. My insurance will cover WLS as I have read through my insurance book, no referral is needed from by PCP thankfully. What should my first step be? What kind of specialty should I be looking up on my insurance website to see what doctor to go to as I have tried looking up “Bariatric” “Gastric” and a few others but have been unable to find any doctors as all results returned nothing? What does a typical immediate post-surgery diet look like (I know it is liquids, but is it broth, Protein shakes, etc…)? How long does it last? Any tips, tricks, hints to switching it up and giving variety with the diet? Does anyone from the Kansas City area have recommendations or horror stories about Doctors in my area? What is the best way to help hide the loose skin and does it shrink down after some time? When is the best time of the day to schedule surgery for to minimize risk of doctor being fatigued or not fully awake? What's the best season of the year to get the surgery in?
