Hi everyone, I was banded in July and have only lost 10 pounds, most of which was from the liquid diet. I've had a full but can still eat lots of food. I'm making better choices, eating smaller portions and protein and have really back cut back on sweets. I go four hours between meals and I do not snack. Any other suggestions? I was 170lbs to begin and I'm now 160. Thank you! Kelly Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am two weeks and I just recently started getting hungry again and can eat bigger portions. I was advised this would happen though. They told me weight loss will not start until after my first fill one month after the surgery. This is healing time. I'm hanging on to that... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Have you considered what foods you are choosing? Try doing what KristinLe is recommending she is not wrong. I think you're body is holding onto calories. Consult a nutritionist if you can. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

A little harsh KristenLe she needs support right now, no? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It's hard at the beginning but you need to do this for yourself! It will also give you the confidence you need to stick to the rules after. I suggest you put a picture of inspiration on the cupboard and fridge. This might be a pic of a skinnier you, the worst photo of you, a pic of your kids, a pic of the lapband, whatever you need. Throw anything out that is tempting you. Your family can hide their Snacks if they won't support you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks guys! I went for a walk and I do feel a bit better. I think you may be right and it's the "come down" and hormones. Also I was a carb, sugar and caffeine junkie and I've had none of that in 3 weeks now. That has to be contributing to this low, no? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi KristenLe, Thank you for the response. I have been in therapy for a few weeks now, obviously not long enough. I wish I could take it back. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi everyone, I need your help. I am only 1 week postop and I was very foolish yesterday. I had rice and a quesadilla at a restaurant. I only ate a tiny amount of each, my hubby couldn't believe I could possibly be full, but it certainly was not puréed. I also had a frozen marguerita. I chewed everything super well and had no pain or feeling of anything getting stuck. However, after, I felt like I had eaten a four course meal. I was absolutely stuffed and there was a lot of pressure and tightness. Today my stomach feels and looks swollen. I am now panicking that I have somehow pushed the band out of place or ruined my surgery. I have no pain whatsoever. Should I be worried? Would it be painful if the band has slipped? I can't believe I've done this to myself, only one week in!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
