Hello, Im Arianna.
Ill first start off by telling you, WEIGHT has always been a problem for me since a was a young girl.. I remember weighing 162 pounds at 12 years old. And from then on the weight seemed to keep going up and up. I've tried diets, exercise classes, swimming and sports but nothing seemed to work for me. My aunt had WLS and ended up loosing over 200 pounds, but in the end it became to much for her and she passed away from liver damage due to alcohol. I debated with weight loss surgery for a few years, and I let the though die down. I started college and realized that I wanted to be a nurse, and it was when it hit me, "I need to get healthier". After completing my first year of college, I went home and decided to go to a consultation, and to my surprise the surgeon said I would make a great candidate for the surgery and I thought about it and decided it would be a good idea. No longer would I allow my weight to determine the way I was going to live. I've always been the person that everyone could pick on and think nothing of it. I was always the nicest kid, who was all about their school work and cared about everyone, which I guess made me somewhat of a target. The older I got the more the comments became more cruel. So I've decided to take control. I want to be more active, lose this weight and prepare myself for nursing school. Im glad I found a place where I can talk about my before and my after.
