I'm not celiac but have several intolerances to foods. My NUT believed this would go away after surgery. She was COMPLETELY wrong if anything I think it's increased my sensitivities. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Has anyone tried Atkins shakes?
facebro29 replied to facebro29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To buy Premier Protein shakes to be shipped to England is £80 almost $100. I'm not paying $10 a bottle. Atkins doesn't have sugar it has sweetners. I will speak to my nutrionist. Thanks guys for the help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Anyone in the UK?
facebro29 replied to IncredibleShrinkingMe's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Crusha you can buy in Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda at least that's where I've found them. They are usually near the squash and drinks aisle or near the UHT milk Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Yeah don't think there are a lot of people on this site from the UK. Seems to be an American based site Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Update on OCt sleevers.....
facebro29 replied to ppressey24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 4th October and starting week 2 of puréed. Counting down the 7 days until soft foods. Week 3 and 21lbs since surgery 38 total adding pre-op weight loss as well. I'm experimenting with lots of things but my fav at the moment is puréed tuna with light mayo - my go to. I've had bad constipation and now having to take Milk of Magnesium . Getting my Water in. My first post-op appt is not until week 6 which I find very strange. I feel like I have been left in the dust with the surgery but this forum has helped out so much. I don't start taking Vitamins until week 5 for some reason. Each week is getting better but have had some set backs. First day back to work today and I'm exhausted. Has anyone cheated ?
facebro29 replied to VsgFitMom15's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No to dangerous. I've been sticking strictly to my NUT guidelines. I was allowed runny yogurt during my 'liquid' phase. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Hi Guys, I am trying puréed chicken but I don't know if I've made it creamy enough and I am finding that I need to chew a bit. Can anyone give me any tips to help me make it a bit more creamy? I've used chicken breast some spices and chicken stock maybe I should use gravy? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My surgeon signed me off for 4 weeks. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since surgery. I went to work today and was soooo exhausted. I haven't been taking naps or anything during the day when I was off and walked a lot to get my stamina back. I also have a desk job but everyone is different. Worst for me was the gas OMG!! Make sure you do lots of walking. That's the only way I could get rid of it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Good luck to you as well!! How'd your first day go? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
It was chicken stock and I ran it for ages. Will add gravy so that it's a bit more sliding than chewing.
