I went to my ob/gyn today...I have officially lost... 40 lbs...I'm 4 weeks LRNY as of tomorrow! Just wanted to share my progress!! ????????????

I also am a type 2 diabetic. I was on insulin..humalog and lantus...sliding scale for the humalog and 80 units of lantus at night. .. I had my LRNY gastric bypass June 30th..about 2 weeks after I no longer need insulin at all...my starting weight 235 my current weight is 198...surgery will definitely help...good luck! As my doctor told me yesterday. ..there is no "ONLY" to it...you've lost 30 lbs in 2 weeks!!! That's a big deal! Congrats!! You've got this!! Well. I had my first post-op appt. .I'm 2 weeks out from LRNY...I have lost 34 lbs total...Doctor said I was right on schedule. Got my new menu... soupy oatmeal, soupy cream of wheat, soupy mashed potatoes..SF pudding, v8 juice and having to start liquid Protein..so I'm gonna do Slimfast I think...I'm so happy with the progress I have made. I haven't weighed just yet...been out of town... ????
