    Not motivated...need help!!!

Hello...I am soooo like you with the fills....I am on the edge. Right now I don't feel that I am filled enough, because I can pretty much eat anything I want. But when I go to get a fill, a small amount is too much and I'm gagging and foaming. That seems to be the only time I lose....Is when I'm too tight and can't eat anything. I need motivation!!! I only need to lose 30 more pounds and this seems to be the hardest!!! LOL HELPPP

Band too tight? -OR- Eating too fast?

I have been banded since March 08' and I am in the same boat as you are...I know I am not over eating and i get hiccups from very little food... I am feeling like I have pressure on my chest. Sometimes I am able to eat regularly but for the past 2 days it has been bad. I am even getting the reflux at night. I have an appointment to get some liquid out of my band on Monday. I have did this before and I can safely say that your band is too tight. Even with the removal of a small amount of liquid, you will be able to tell a big difference.

Right now, i have lots of pressure...I feel horrible, but luckily I have a Dr's appt tomorrow! i don't care how much they have to take out, I just don't want to keep feeling like this...

  9. :w00t:Stop scale Obsession Do you weigh yourself every day? Do you worry about even the slightest change in your weight? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you may be obsessing over the scale — and if you're trying to maintain healthy habits, this behavior can actually be counterproductive. The truth is, your weight may change from day to day for many reasons. Fluid retention, hormonal fluctuations, constipation, and even the food you eat right before stepping on the scale can cause daily ups and downs. These variations can be misleading and worrisome if you don't understand them. For an accurate measurement of your weight, weigh yourself only once each week and on the same scale every time (different scales may give different readings). An even better method of measuring your success is to let your belt be your guide. If your clothes fit better and you feel better, then you're getting healthier — even if the bathroom scale doesn't show big changes. Ultimately, it's up to you to stop scale obsession. Weight loss takes time, so patience is required.Remember, if you're practicing weight-healthy habits, you will enjoy better health, and the extra pounds will come off in the process — whether you step on the scale every day or never again.

    Counting calaries

I eat 1500 to 1550 calories a day, plus I work out everyday. I have lost 32 pounds so far. Was banded 3/10/08.....
  11. shaunni78

What is your calorie intake daily??

i do about 1500 cals a day....its harder on the weekends, but so far I havent gained. Plus I run for 50 minutes a day, so Im good! i dont insanely count cals, but i do watch what i eat.
  12. the above was to Jessica 1977...lol
  13. She is right! I don't even own a scale....I like that I have to go way out of the way to weigh myself. The scale that I use is at my job, way in another buliding from the one I am in. So when I do want to weigh myself, (which is once a week), I really have to make an effort....
  14. 1. Feeling full from just a little food.. 2. It's easier to lose weight... 3.Smaller size jeans....

    Get Rid Of Your Scale

I WAS gonna buy a scale, but decided against it, because a friend told me I would probably be weighing myself everyday. So I didn't buy one. Now I just weigh myself once a week on the scale I have at my job for our "Biggest Loser" program. It is accurate, and I'm im not tempted to weigh everyday because the scale is clear in a whole different building.

    What is this?

That is so true. I used to come to this site a lot before I was banded, but I heard a lot of stories of people having all kinds of troubles and complications and I was scared. But I have been banded since March 10th and I just had my first fill about 2 weeks ago. I have not had 1 bit of trouble. I can pretty much eat whatever I want, only a little bit. I've had strawberries, watermelon, ribs, anything....Just in very small portions and I remember to chew. I have lost 30+ pounds since surgery and I work out 5 days a week. I think we need to make a thread for only positive experiences with the band, because the negative posts will scare anyone wanting the band. I still come and visit the site and post every now and then, but I like hearing positve band experiences. Thank you for posting this and letting me vent...=)
  17. my neck....seems like thats the place everyone can tell that im losing weight! 30 pounds as of today!
  18. I've heard so much conflicting things on this topic!!! Some Dr's say soda doesn't do anything and some say it does. I know a Dr that has the band and drinks diet pepsi....When I drink it, I let it get a little flat or use lots of ice...No erosion, no slippage, and no stretched pouch....But that's just my experience.

    1st Fill

If it has been a month, you might get your fill at this visit, though I had to wait 6 weeks. You can eat normally, as it won't affect the fill. You can wear whatever you want. You will just have to raise your shirt so the dr can get to the port. Why do you think you haven't lost weight? Since we can't eat like we used to, I'm sure you have lost something. And, no, you won't have any trouble driving. Really, I'm telling you the fill is nothing...lol....the worst part is a little sting when they deaden the area, but I PROMISE you, it's not bad at all. It doesn't take 5 minutes. I went shopping right after mine....

    1st Fill

I just had to do full liquids for 24 hours then slowly get back to solids...I have been trying things today and I haven't had any problems at all....But I still chew really well!
  23. shaunni78

    1st Fill

thank you! from reading other bloggers reactions to the fills, i was scared, but the worst part was when my dr numbed the area, and that was just a sting, like a normal shot. I didn't even feel the actual fill, and it was over soooo fast. lol
