Hi guys, I'm 7/15. I'm doing well overall but I'm just so darn sore and it seems like I'm sore everywhere. From my head to my legs. My incisions are itchy but sore. Im able to get close to the 60g Protein daily (52ish) and close to the 64oz. I'm just so darn tired of sipping. I'm still having a hard time establishing a good pattern of bowel movements (sorry, TMI). I also still can't sleep on either side comfortably and that frustrating. No issues of nausea but did take some of my acid reflux medicine for the first time today. Thinking about adding some GasX to help in that department. Adding one more medication makes me cringe but if takes some of this discomfort away I'm game at this point. food has really been the last thing on my mind but I am looking forward to the puréed stage. I'm post-op 6 days (July 15) and I can not get rid of this constant bad take in my mouth. It makes everything taste the same on this Full liquids diet and recently has me on a thin line between nausea and not. I brush my teeth constantly. Any suggestions? I'm still full liquid but I think puréed can be a creamy consistentcy as long as there are no chunks. Be sure to chew and chew. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I woke up with a drain, catheter, oxygen, and IV. I was more concerned about the guy next to me as they kept telling him to breath. I remember people talking to me but was in a state of confusion until I got to my room and family. They take great care of you so I was never scared. Some pain and was introduced to my little button. All other tubs didn't bother me. I kept telling everyone that I needed to have my surgery, thinking I had not had it done. You'll get through it!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Just got home from being sleeved on July 15th. The day after is painful and you will be uncomfortable. It is very hard at first to put anything in your mouth. Day two you should start sipping as much as you can and walk to help with the gas pain. Don't fool yourself...this is a major surgery and you'll feel it. Just keep your sights on the goal and you'll be fine. The only thing I remember the day of is kissing family members an being rolled into the OR. I didn't even know they had already given me the meds to put me out. The next thing I know was waking up in recovery groggy and not knowing where I was. Soon after that I was reunited with family and told it was a four hour procedure and I was going to be very sore. Just trying to find a liquid I can actually tolerate. I go tomorrow as well and would be lying if I didn't say I was nervous. No problem with the liquid diet today since I don't even want to think about anything going in my mouth. Looking at everyone's post-op post this is completely normal and just some anticipation anxiety. Think of it this way, this time next week you'll be well into recovery.
