I have EVERYTHING!! Lol. I'm 7 weeks post op and I still can't do solids. I can chew and swallow but it never gets to my sleeve. He says he stitched the hernia repair too tight so food can't pass so it's coming back up. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I was fortunate in this regard. I haven't had to take any pain meds since I left the hospital. It was uncomfortable more that actually painful. -
Did anyone NOT have a miserable recovery?

OMG I am so jealous of some of the stories I read on here. I am 6 weeks post op and I have had 3 visits back to the hospital, the last time 5 days. I don't want to say that I regret the surgery but I am so TIRED OF BEING SICK!!! Both eating and drinking make me sick so because of that I avoid eating or drinking. Anything with a milky consistency is the worst (ie protein shakes) so I am not getting all of the protein in. It takes me 8 hours to get down 16oz of water and I cant get more than 3 to 4 teaspoons of food down before I feel like its on the way back up. I am severely fatigued so I am tired and listless all the time. What the heck is wrong with me? I did my due diligence, I researched, prepared, asked questions, but nothing in my research prepared me for how horrible I'd feel. How long will this last???? -

Tired, hungry and sick feeling ALL THE TIME
ms_e2u posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is going to sound like a complaint I'm sure, but I don't intend it to be. I'm grateful for the surgery, I needed it BUT, I feel tired and sick all the time!!!!! Surgery was 6/29 but every minute that i am awake I feel sick and lethargic. I have no energy and I have these weird uncomfortable feelings in my stomach whether I've eaten or not. My body feels foreign to me and I wasn't expecting that. I haven't had a bowl movement in 3 days, I can't sleep, it takes me 6 hours to drink 24 ounces of Water. I can't seem to get all of my Protein in no matter how hard I try and I almost avoid eating or drinking because I'm tired of feeling sick ALL the time. Anyone else going through this???? I was sleeved 6/29 and I'm not starving but I do feel physically hungry. My surgeon still has me on full liquids but nothing seems to be curving the hungry. It seems as though 90% of what I'm allowed to have is sweet and I don't do sweets like that. I'm Soup and broth'd out, any other suggestions on what I can eat?? The Protein shakes are disgusting to me and the consistency makes me want to puke, LOL. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
