  1. @@Frenchie1977 I am just starting as well. I have my first visit with my surgeon and NUT on August 22. Looking forward to actually getting the wheels in motion for this surgery!
  2. @@vamping I have almost the same story as you. I suffered from PCOS since I was 18 and had horrible bleeding issues to the point where it would never stop. Finally the doctor agreed to do a hysterectomy after all of the other options (hormones, tubal ligation, etc) have failed. He said due to my age, 28 at the time, that I needed to keep my ovaries. Well now I have horrible pain that I can feel in that area and my doctor says it is probably my PCOS or it could be endometriosis. He says losing weight will definitely help the PCOS symptoms and that I should talk over the options with a bariatric surgeon. Well through constant research on this site and other sites I have decided to go forward. Unfortunately, I am in the waiting stages until August 21 until I meet the surgeon. Sorry for the long post but it's nice to know that I am not alone. Would love to hear other people's opinions on how VSG worked with the PCOS symptoms.
  3. @@NewAdventure2016 That is a great turnaround time. You are giving me some hope that maybe I will get a turnaround time that is quick too!
  4. Great question, I would be interested in the responses. I don't meet my surgeon until August 22, I hate the waiting part!

Congratulations! You look amazing and I agree with shantell500, you do look 20 years younger!
  6. I am so sorry this happened to you! I too suffer from PCOS and endometriosis and had a hysterectomy and kept my ovaries last year. I have just started this journey based on the advice of my endocrinologist. I know how hard it can be suffering from these problems and how every day it seems like something else is wrong. I hope you find relief and that you can go ahead with your surgery. Keep us informed
  7. Hi there, newbie here (actually this is my first post). I understand the difficulty in making this life altering decision. I also have been diagnosed with severe PCOS and even had a hysterectomy but still kept my ovaries. Unfortunately, the PCOS continue to be a serious problem so my doctor has recommended bariatric surgery. I have been reading all of the forums on here and trying to make the leap to actually starting the process. Well this morning I actually made the call and am going to a seminar on Thursday. I am so nervous and don't really even know how to start, but we are in this together and we can do this!
